This is the best rest stop I’ve stayed at so far. There’s free parking and a 24-hour reception, so you can safely leave your car there. It’s also within walking distance to the city centre, which saves a lot on parking fees. When I stayed there, there weren’t many people, so it felt like having the whole place to myself. The bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas were quiet and clean, with no unpleasant smells, and someone came regularly to tidy up. The room was very comfortable as well. Highly recommended!

Very good motels in the town. Everything was completed and very comfortable. The owner was quite friendly . We got the ground floor room, and the car was Juz parked infront of the room. Super convenient.

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good water supply and heating. A very good location that is near to eating places. A complete kitchenette. Will visit again, highly recommended motel to stay in Dunedin.

My mistake in not verifying the lodge location. It was listed as being in Milford Sound when it is not. Management need to adjust the door closers for kitchen n dining room. Was kept awake til 11pm with the banging. When I gave feedback to the staff, was told I had booked the basic standard room.

We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs. As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

Very roomy unit with all the facilities needed. Aircon was on at arrival so a comfortable start. Bed was good, bathroom was good. Not motels fault but people in next door unit stayed up late and were noisy. We are staying at the motel again next week.

De Chinese service, de dienst is voorzichtig en warm, de auto heeft een probleem, de winkelier heeft altijd geholpen met de telefooncommunicatie, zeer bedankt! De kamer is schoon, de hygiëne is goed, de tuin is eigen, het parkeren is comfortabel, de auto staat bij de deur van de kamer, het automobiel staat aan de kant van de hoofdweg en is comfortabel. Dit is een geweldig autohotel, aanbevolen om te blijven!

We had a wonderful stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was convenient, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The host was very friendly, responsive, and made us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. We really appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our trip even more enjoyable!
