Mooi hotel in de bergen. De inrichting met antiek meubilair is smaakvol en komt niet oubollig over. De kamer was groot met prima badkamer.
Na een wandeling is de spa (Turks bad, sauna, bubbelbad) ook aangenaam maar een uurtje voor €25 pp vinden we aan de dure kant.
Het restaurant biedt voldoende afwisseling voor enkele dagen, een dat is fijn want er is verder niets in de buurt.
Veel wandelmogelijkheden in de directe omgeving.
Niet alle personeel verstaat Engels.

Dit hotel ligt fantastisch in de bergen met schitterend uitzicht. Heerlijk rustig en goed om bij te komen. Vriendelijk personeel, mooier ruime kamer. Goede douche en badkamer. Lekker eten. Echt heel goed en alles lijkt oud maar het is pas 15 jaar open?

Room and views were fabulous. The compromise for having super views and complete quietness was that the location was a little isolated. Great overnight stop if catching the Bilbao ferry back to England

It was alright. I was really looking forward to this hotel in our 7 day trip around northern Spain and basque but unfortunately it didn’t deliver. It was alright but I specifically booked it as it was a hotel and spa. What I didn’t understand when booking was that you had to pay additional to use the spa. And it was per person. My wife and I love spas. We got to the hotel for 4pm to take full advantage and use of the spa as the weather was not so nice. However, the spa was €30 per person and was for 1 hour. If we wanted to use the spa for 2 hours it would have cost €120! Seems a little wrong in my opinion. I understand the reasoning behind the reservation to have privacy but in off season when there were not very many guests at all….. it felt like a let down.
I can imagine how beautiful it would have been if it wasn’t so cloudy and raining. Room was ok, TV was good! Literally all day and night sitting in our room watching TV. It was a shame. Felt isolated and limited which wasn’t good..

We spent a wonderful weekend with our family in a wonderful place! The nature, interior and exterior of the hotel are at the highest level! Friendly staff. It's great that the spa is reserved for one hour specifically for the family, and all saunas and pools are only yours! Were very satisfied! Thank you! The hotel is hidden away in the hills and gives access to walks in the mountains. Great food, the rooms are spacious and clean with helpful staff. Tranquility. We will return. What more could you ask for?

Excellent staff, good food, peaceful, superb nature surrounding the hotel. The staff are most helpful and calm. The chef is adventurous, producing really good food. The only ‘noise’ around the hotel are the birds and occasional farmland activities. We will definitively stay again, thank you.

Lovely spot in the mountains, easy drive to both Bilbao and south. Amazing hosts, and the breakfast buffet had a lot of selection. Highly recommend staying here. The spa is an additional cost 20€ I believe, and the dinner seemed to be a set fee of 39€ but we didn’t eat as only stayed 1 night . Would definitely stay again for longer l

We booked for one night, stayed two and if we hadn’t had to return home could have stayed much longer. This hotel excels in every way. Can best be described as the Spanish version of ‘The Shire’ A mixture of architecture the main building being reminiscent of a wooden Swiss chalet with amazing carved wood details. 30 minutes from Bilbao in an amazing landscape. The service was professional but friendly. Dining inside or out was a wonderful experience. The food totally gratifying of great quality. Turbot, Beef cheeks, Iberico Pork steak. An experience to savour so not to be rushed. Would highly recommend, even if a bit out of your way, well worth the extra few kilometers. We will be back!!! A personal welcome from the owner sealed our delight.
