Jielu is in Lintong, so about 40 minutes cab ride from Xi'an North train station. We booked here as it's a short walk to the Terracotta Warriors and it looked like a nice rural spot in the mountains, which it is. Although we arrived after midnight, the reception was open and the friendly welcome. Rooms are spacious with a conservatory/terrace with views of the garden/courtyard and the linen spotless quality cotton and much-needed efficient heating. Breakfast was a selection of pickles, rice porridge, steamed buns and egg with tea or coffee. The right start for walking to the Qin Mausoleum and day of sightseeing.
Food in the evening was from an extensive menu, good value and tasty (I had sea**** and egg drop soup with pork/veggie dumplings). Altogether a great location and everything you need for seeing the treasures of the Qin dynasty. Thanks!
