Very well and overall satisfied. Front desk officer can speak English. Foreigners can stay at hotel

The housekeeping is terrible. Our tray with the toothbrushes etc was coated with some soap or gel. Had to wash the things before we could open and use the things. They did not supply new things the next day and Tray was left as is. Towels were not changed.
When we asked if they had breakfast they said no. But we saw others having a western buffet the next 2 mornings. We were willing to pay extra for it but they just told us they didn't have anything.
They put us on the highest floor and our 2 rooms were so warm. When we asked they said it was like that. One room had a total blackout on first night. When we booked a 4th night due to our midnight flight, we were put on the 4th floor and the aircon was working fine.
I think they just didn't want to do anything for us.

There were not hot water in hotel to take shower. You wait 10 minutes and still same and it’s January in Xian.

The hotel is located very conveniently, close to attractions and good transport links. however, the hotel is very old, the appearance of the rooms is poor and needs renovation. also the cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired, my room was very unkempt, there was a bottle cap by the bed from former guests. also litter and dirt. there are smoke marks everywhere. The staff at the front desk was very responsive and tried to fulfill my wishes, helped with every request, both for a room, and helped to pre-book an early taxi to the airport.
