The Woodstock Arms

Fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend it more. All staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food was seriously good and the pub cosy. Perfect for an evening next to an open fire.

Staff were excellent , but one shower door was missing and a big partch of bedroom carpet was soaking wet.

We have been here a few times now but this weekend being our first actual stay. We had our evening meal which was totally amazing. A really lovely pub to use, very friendly and helpful staff. The pub is very busy so we recommend booking to avoid the fine food served, breakfast was just amazing. The room was lovely and clean, warm and stylish, we had a good night’s sleep. Definitely one to come back for.

We had room 5 which should never be used for B&B. It was up some very precarious stairs in what look like a converted loft. The ceiling sloped right down to hip height so most of the time you are bent over! On a good note, the bed was comfy and the room was clean apart from the window ( see photos) I know it’s an old building but some sort of repair could be done. It made the room damp. The fridge was on a wooden crate, yes really! The ensuite tiny but functional but decay around shower cubicle. When I complained I was told we only paid the low price (£100) well we wouldn’t have paid £50 for that room. The chair was wasted as if you sat on it you had to bend double. Dinner was average. Staff were polite and friendly especially our waitress from Wisconsin. Breakfast was fine but no offer of juice or water, or cereal etc. The cooked breakfast was plenty though but no offer of tea refill. If you decide to stay here request NOT to have room 5.

We stayed for just one night to visit Blenheim Palace which is an easy walk from the hotel. Comfortable room with good linen and bed etc. Staff really friendly and efficient. Food available was well prepared and tasty and there was plenty of choice. Breakfast was fresh and well presented. Would stay again

The room was adequate for one nights stay, not enough space for clothes & suitcase.Linen & towels excelent.

It’s quaint, lovely and so near Blenheim Palace. Would definitely stay again

The service and food were excellent, the Staff very welcoming and the bar had a lovely friendly a**osphere. Unfortunately the room was disappointing. Too many minor issues adversely impacted our stay. There was no bed remaking, replenishment of tea making items or crockery on 2nd day. En-suite needs attention.
