With lots to enjoy in the hotel itself, we cannot blame you if you just want to stay put during your visit, but if you do fancy heading out and about, the historic town of Cirencester is only a 15-minute drive away. Also nearby are Cotswold Water Park, where you will find nature reserves, water sports, clay pigeon shooting and even a beach! The view and scenery of the hotel is excellent , is quiet and peaceful and food is very good too.
Although the choice of buffet breakfast is limited. The swimming pool provides warm water and also have sauna and steam bath

The hotel is in a beautiful location. But the room is very tired and not clean at all. We found thick dust on the bedside tables.

The staff were amazing. We were greeted by a gentleman, I believe his name was Festus and he was lovely. There was some miscommunication between ******* and the hotel, however Festus helped us sort it immediately and we had a lovely stay. The food was lovely and the views are gorgeous.
Additionally, the spa was lovely.

Beautiful buidling and spot. Staff were very stand-offish when we arrived but then seemed to pick up.
Very disappointed thatbwe had building work outisde our room, we were woken early by them starting work. When mentioned to the staff, no apology given just acceptance thag it wasnt ideal.

Room was freezing cold on arrival, heating put on but ineffective due to loose window. Could not work on laptop as so cold and slept clothed. Asked for portable heater to be told you're unlucky theyve all gone out to other guests.
Staff tried and I was credited with my evening meal, however this only benefits my employrr who pays the bill.
Would say in every other way was fine and wpuld return but only in Summer

Excellent service from the staff on every occasion, the hotel is aged but still operating, Our room was separate from the main hotel building where the restaurant, spa and other facilities were located, in an out building. The location is commutable to cotswold but still a good half an hour drive to most attractions.

Comfy clean bed, filthy carpet tho, had a courtyard room. Great facilities, pool and spa are lovely. Staff all very friendly and food was great lots of options and plenty of allergen awareness and gluten free options for my Wife.

Wonderful stay at Cricklade House Hotel, I would highly recommend it. Very cosy and clean room, the Spa was well equipped and nice and clean too. We had dinner and the food was first class, so was the breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
