De locatie, het personeel was vriendelijk. Mooie omgeven. We zijn met de mountainbike door het bos gefietst. Het eten was superlekkerw Jacuzzi en hottub met prachtig uitzicht. En de spa, mijn man en ik hebben een top massag3 gehad. Ook supervriendelijke vrouwen van de spa. Ze boden mijn dochter ( 15) een gratis nagelverzorging aan met nagels lakken. Heel attent. Kortom, ik zou zeker terugkomen om hier te verblijven als je Tsitsikamma Nat. Park wilt ontdekken

De locatie van The Fernery is een stukje paradijs. Het uitzicht vanaf ons balkon was prachtig. Het is er heerlijk rustig. De kamer is erg comfortabel, zeer ruime badkamer, super lekker bed, veel kastruimte. Het ontbijt, lunch en diner was heerlijk. Vriendelijke bediening! En genoten van een massage in de eigen Spa.

Mooie ruime schone chalets, heel privé , met prachtig zicht op kloof met snel stromende rivier, veel vogels. Fijn ontbijt, aardig personeel . Zoek je rust, ruimte dan het perfecte verblijf. Uitvalbasis voor de schitterende omgeving.

Wij hebben een superleuk verblijf gehad in een mooie 4 persoons cottage bij The Fernery. Mooi, lief huisje met alle voorzieningen meer dan compleet. Erg schoon, veel handdoeken, badjassen én lekkere bedden.

Everything was perfect, a little bit luxury within the wilderness. The short walk to the sundown spot was the absolute highlight when suddenly a bunch of monkeys came from every direction and got away in the bushes.

We spent three nights at the Fernery, mid-March 2024, and it lived up to and exceeded all our expectations. The lodge is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa and possibly even, I daresay, the world. The rooms are beautiful, with amazing views, and luxurioulsy furnished. Kolkols and jacuzzis are to be found all over, strategically nestled amongst the forest, in secluded and well-maintained areas, which are regularly tended. One can see that pleasing guests is paramount to the staff and owners, and there is exceptional attention to detail. We would highly recommend a stay at the Fernery, the pictures on their website possibly do not even do justice to the serene and beautiful natural surroundings. I give the lodge a six-star rating.

Nice and quiet spot in a beautiful scenery. Very good kitchen/food. One of the best breakfast we had during our garden route trip. Couldn't (unfortunatly) not use the hot tubes or warm whirlpools (it was too hot😅)

Lovely comfortable rooms, food was good but oh my the flies! I realise that it isn't the hotel's fault but surely something could be done in the dining room. It was beautifully laid out but there were dozens of flies landing alongside your food constantly. Staff told me it was fly season! Also the walking trails were not well marked out and seemed to peter out at certain points. They need to walk them with a new guest to see where this happens and correct it, especially as there are very few on site activities. Also seemed like a lack of bird life. There was a page of birds in the room we were likely to see but unfortunately they did not make an appearance.

We had a very Nice stay at the Fernery. We were in a chalet which was equiped with all the necessary accessories (safe, coffee machine, refrigerator) there was no airconditioning but a fan served well to cool. The kitchen was excellent and the staff very friendly.
