The Tradesmans Arms

Stayed here whilst walking the Two Moors Way and would thoroughly recommend it. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and had nice views out over the valley below. The hosts were friendly, engaging and extremely courteous. Breakfast was great with generous portion sizes and the fresh coffee was a nice touch. I had no issues whatsoever during my stay and would gladly stay here again if in the area!

We have stopped overnight at the Tradesmans arms in Scorriton before and have not been disappointed. The location is isolated in a delightful small village with stunning views. The accommodation, food and hospitality is really good. The a**osphere created by the many local residents when the pub is open supporting the business says it all.

We had quite a day hiking in Dar**oor and when we arrived at the Tradesman's Arms the sun came out and the pints were waiting. Kevin and Suzanne are the most amazing hosts. The 'escaped to the country' from London a few years ago and have poured their hearts into the Tradesman's Arms. Our room and bathroom were recently renovated during quarantine and were beautiful. The views were breathtaking - even from the shower (which was hot and powerful). Every modern amenity you could ask for in the most beautiful, idyllic, countryside setting. Kevin even gave us a lift to town the next morning when we mentioned we needed a pharmacy. Delicious dinner and fantastic breakfast in a lovely dining room with 180 degree views. We can't wait to return one day.

Clean modern room in a traditional country pub. Food really good quality and excellent local ales.

Stayed one night on the way to the ferry in Plymouth. Very impressed with the interior, and one of the most comfortable beds we have had the pleasure to sleep in. Booked with Kevin, who was very responsive to our needs, and very helpful. A welcoming and friendly environment, and great home cooking. Excellent wifi and free parking.

My husband and I, together with our dog stayed for 2 nights and were made to feel very welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable and the evening meals were very reasonable and good quality. An excellent breakfast was served in the conservatory with wonderful views of the countryside. A proper country pub - great beer and great hospitality. We will definitely be returning.

Nice large room upstairs for our family of 5.

My wife and I were given a warm welcome and we were shown to our room. We were not disappointed. Freshly decorated, lovely TV set, comfortable beds, newly fitted-out bathroom. The evening meal and beer was very good and we enjoyed being made to feel like a local. Very quiet location, with a country setting but not far from the main roads. The breakfast was very good. A small pointer for the future would be to put the toast on a separate plate.

Our 3rd stay- obviously we like it. Position perfect for walks on the Moor - directly on the Two Moors Way. Evening menu including Specials gave an excellent choice. Full breakfast very good with cereals followed by full english. We did, however, have to ask for fruit juice .The farm next door sells excellent real Devon clotted cream.
