Higher Trenear Farm B&B

Another fabulous stay at this idyllic farm, warm welcome as always with a tea & homemade brownie tray, the yurt has every comfort needed, with beautiful rustic touches, the showers are an amazing experience like showering with nature ! We both felt rejuvenated within a day ! Kate & Terry are hard working amazing people who go above & beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience.

Kate and Terry provided us with a home from home for a 4 night stay in a thoroughly Cornwall farmhouse. With great breakfasts and even a herd of cute goats. Would recommend and hope to stay again. Not to forget the complementary chocolate brownies.

Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!

We've just returned from the most amazing few days at Higher Trenear in the Hayfield Yurt. It's beautiful, warm, super clean with amazing facilities. Kate and Terry are really lovely and helpful and offered us tea (in a teapot) with a homemade cake on arrival! The children loved the animals and woke each morning to see them. The outdoor space is particularly incredible with a large private space to play and roam and a tyre swing for older kids- perfect. A really wonderful stay and we will certainly return. We had a lovely few days in the yurt. The site is peaceful, friendly and kitted out with everything you need. We particularly enjoyed making friends with the goats and pigs.

Our stay at Higher Trenear Farm was amazing. We stayed in one of the Mongolian yurts, which was unlike any other accommodation we've experienced and really added to the charm — it was the main reason we booked. The yurt was rustic yet very comfortable, perfect balance. We loved being surrounded by farm animals and lush greenery — it made the whole stay feel peaceful and special. Hosts Kate and Terry were incredibly welcoming and kind. We’d absolutely love to stay again!

We stayed at the B and B at Higher Trenear Farm. We were met by Terry and Kate the owners and shown to a comfortable room. We were in the rear bedroom which had wonderful views. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The breakfast was superb and I opted for the full English which included their own eggs and home reared sausages. Terry and Kate were helpful in pointing us in the direction of great places to eat as well as great local walks. Nothing was too much trouble. Terry and Kate have a variety of animals on the farm including chickens pigs and goats which Terry showed me on a tour of the farm. There was a lounge for guests to use with local guide books and maps as well as a TV. I would highly rate Higher Trenear Farm.

Owners Kate and Terry were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble and always friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the yurts but there are also cottages on site. There are only two yurts and these are wonderfully spaced out in a field each to give plenty of privacy. Having a whole field to yourself also gives lots of playing space for the children and room for wonderfully relaxed evenings around your own campfire. The Yurt itself was very comfortable and clean, with fantastically equipped external kitchen and your own composting toilet just around the side of the yurt. A short walk away there was a kitchen with electricity and a fridge/freezer for guest use alongside a lockable charging box for devices. The showers were also over in this block and provided wonderfully hot refreshing showers when required. The site itself if located down a short lane less than 10 mins drive from Helston or approx 15 mins from Redruth. The central location was great for exploring a multitude of areas but was quiet and peaceful at night. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we definitely hope to be back one day.

Excellent Had one night here in June, lovely location down a quiet lane. The room in the main house was very cosy with a very well appointed ensuite. The manager/owner Kate was lovely and gave us recommendations for dinner in nearby Porthleven. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious as well. Highly recommend staying here for a quiet. Cornwall getaway.
