Boutique-Hotel Amalienhof

The hotel is very charming and very Old World. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was generous and delicious. What is nice about this hotel is that it is really very well located- near the bus stop to Buchenwald, and walking distance to many museums. It's a real gem!

Well-located to old town. We cannot comment on hotel rooms, as we stayed next door in one of the apar**ents (no lift). It had a little kitchen, with tiny fridge, and nice bathroom. However, as I mentioned to a clerk - there are no hooks at all in the bathroom to hang your towels. Little to no room to put a shaving kit anywhere, either - but, that is a minor item. Our issue was not with the hotel, but that we stayed 3 nights and there is just not that much to do/see in Weimar. Had a the best German meal across town on a Sat night, but then realized that most restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday. Weimar was like a ghost town (late Jan 2022). We should have stayed in Erfurt for a night - gorgeous medieval town. But, back to the hotel -not sure where they are getting that nice picture of having breakfast on an upstairs balcony, because breakfast is served in the large glass room next to check-in. Breakfast was lovely - they even had sekt served on Sunday (which, for 3 euro/bottle, why not serve on all days?). Cappucino's are extra (not included in bfast). We parked on the street for free v. the hotel parking.

This hotel is quite unique with a lot of antiques. The location is excellent and the price is fair

The hotel was comfortable and an easy walk into the town centre and local restaurants. It was also an ideal location for exploring the wider area around Weimar.

Für diesen 'Unterbringungsort' den Begriff 'Boutique-Hotel' zu propagieren ist eine absolute Frechheit. Das Hotel mag mit seiner Ausstattung und Ausstrahlung die wohl sehr bescheidenen Ansprüche zu DDR-Zeiten befriedigt haben -heute wohl nicht einmal für Billig-Touristen zumutbar. Das Personal sowohl am Empfang wie auch beim Frühsückstisch verhielt sich inkompetent (bei Infos zur Stadt, Verlängerung des Aufenthalts wegen DB-Streik usw.) und unhöflich ja arrogant, wie wir dies in ganz Deutschland noch nie erlebt haben. Dieses Hotel sollte man sofort schliessen, damit nicht mehr Besucher vor den Kopf gestossen werden. Nie wieder !!!!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen. Sie liegt am Rande der Fußgängerzone, die Innenstadt ist problemlos fußläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer war top, das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig und sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Personnel de très grande qualité, aux petits soins et prêt à vous aider en toute circonstance. Hôtel calme et très central. Arrêt de bus devant. Tout est joignable à pied. Petit-déjeuner très diversifié. Café et thé en libre service 24h/24h.
