We attended for a camera club dinner the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was extremely good beer was great. The breakfast was first class freshly cooked with great produce I can highly recommend this place. I just hope the club book it again next year

Poor quality of food - tasteless vegan curry. Too many staff chatting and not serving - was not asked if we wanted a dessert or coffees so left without either. Far too hot inside to eat in any kind of comfort. Staff constantly popping to cleaning / cake serving area to eat or check mobile phones. Dustpan and brush put on cake counter top during last visit ! Would prefer long hair to be tied up not just back whilst serving food. Toilets are always dirty with poorly fitted seats.

Stayed in a nearby cottage with friends for the weekend in February, went in Saturday afternoon and a few of us had a sandwich which were all really nice, had a few drinks and the staff were so friendly, we booked a table for Sunday lunch and wow it was beautiful, the staff remembered us when we walked in on the Sunday and they all made us feel very welcome. I will definitely return later in the year when I am back in the area for another little break. Lovely pub, gorgeous Sunday lunch, lovely warm fires and very friendly staff.

Wonderful experience - nice spacious environment so didn’t feel noisy or overcrowded on a Sunday lunch time, staff very pleasant greeting and helpful, food quality fresh hot and full of flavour. Well done to the all the team great experience.

Really friendly staff, sat in the bar area which was really cosy with a log burner, have returned several times as the food is always a really good standard and caters for gluten and dairy free which suits us really well as most places don't even know what dairy free means! Will continue to return here thanks!

Visited for a recent Sunday lunch and really enjoyed our meals. Food was great and the service really good too. Friendly landlord checked all was OK - which it was. Love the fact that it feels like proper home made food. Had the Sunday roast, which was all cooked well and a decent sized portion, we couldn't resist the fruit crumble for after. We will return and would recommend to others.

Went for breakfast today, took our 14wk old puppy who was given an affectionate welcome. The breakfasts were very tasty. The pleasant surprise for me was as a gluten free diner most eateries omit the gluten containing food, charging the same price. Not here, they increased the portions of some of the other food items as a matter of course for the same price.

we went for Sunday Lunch, apart from getting the main course order wrong, and the dessert course also wrong, the food was only lukewarm at best. will not be rushing back... staff were very pleasant and they were apologetic with the incorrect orders, but to get 2 courses incorrect is not good. very disappointed with our visit.

Allen and his team a running a top pub here, The food is 5 star just like the service. We live in Hull but are happy to travel when we eat out as it’s worth it. Value for money, a great pint served by very friendly staff. We held my fiancés birthday party here recently and they genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. Strongly recommend.
