In 2019 waren we hier reeds te gast, en nu zijn we ingegaan op het Sylvester- en Nieuwjaarsarrangement, een 4-daags uitgewerkt programma met heerlijke diners, wandelingen, stadsbezoek aan Würzburg en een nieuwjaarsconcert. We hadden een zeer mooie superiorkamer Gendarmerie met uitzicht op de hoofdstraat van Volkach. Alles heel stijlvol, maar toch ongedwongen en spontaan. We waren de enige niet-Duitse gasten, maar hebben ons hier van in het begin thuis gevoeld. De diners waren zeer fijn en hoogstaand, we hebben steeds de formule aangepaste wijnen genomen, een aanrader. Er is geen echt ontbijtbuffet, maar je geeft telkens je wensen op en alles wordt aan tafel gebracht. De bediening, zowel 's morgens bij het ontbijt als 's avonds bij het diner was spontaan en zeer vriendelijk. We komen hier zeker nog terug.

Very nice, stylish rooms. Excellent dinner with lot of flexibility by the 1404 staff. Very friendly but not stiff a**osphere by staff members. Loved the wine cellar tour. Highly recommended. Parking can be tricky, but enough parking lots around.

The hotel location is good for exploring the city. Pleased that there was a dedicated parking. The room was ok, except for the fact that the neighbours had a view into the room. We found the light system in the room quite complicated to operate. We disliked the fact that the lights on toilet and bathroom are operated with a motion sensor, that cannot be switched off. As such we had to switch off the main switch, which led to the fact that our (hearing)devices good not be charged over night. Unfortunately there were many small irritating flies in the restaurant.

From the hearty welcome to the clean and well furnished room, the beautiful exterior and the big breakfast, everything holds a high standard. We had dinner in the restaurant and had planned for something simple but could not resist the four course meny ... and we're happy we did, what an evening! Volkach is really nice and the surroundings equally beautiful, hope to come back!

The hotel is located in the middle of the old town in Volkach. The rooms are very stylish but still modern furnished. We ate very well in the restaurant 1404. The service was perfect. The only thing to criticize is the breakfast arrangement. The quality is very good, but the organization does not really work well. We will be back....

The location and setting are delightful, and the welcome warm. Room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. Dinner in the courtyard restaurant was good but the service interminably slow: we forsook the dessert. The kitchen and waiting staff appeared to be overstretched, priority presumably being given to the Michelin * restaurant upstairs. The owner's family produce excellent wines which are available for sale.

This hotel is stylish and overall amazing ! The entire staff warm & hospitable going out of their way to ensure our comfort. Another huge plus is the perfect location in the heart of old town Volkach. The complimentary breakfast served in the garden is delicious and the rooms are lovely with very comfortable bedding.

The beautiful hotel is located in the centre of Volkach, close to the town hall and opposite the church. The service ist very good, staff is friendly and always keen to help. The breakfast was excellent and could be taken outside, in the lovely courtyard. The ambience is very medieval

Die Schwane ist und bleibt unser Lieblingshotel/-restaurant. Daran ändert auch der Umstand nichts, dass die bisherige Sterneköchin bereits vor Monaten außer Gefecht ist und der neue Koch leider erst nach unserer Abreise den Dienst begonnen hat. Das Hotel selbst ist äußerst liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet Zimmer mit sehr unterschiedlichem Charakter an. In diversen haben wir bereits übernachtet und sowohl die Bettnqualität als auch die Badezimmer sowie die A**osphäre genossen. Ein Highlight ist das Frühstück, dass individuell mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann , zusammengestellt wird. Also kein Buffet, was auch gar nicht nötig ist. Auf diese nachhaltige Weise wird nichts weggeworfen. Zu erwähnen sind nicht zuletzt die erstklassigen, auch zu erwerbenden Weine.
