Volivoli Beach Resort

The resort has a good mix of room and villa choices. The premium villas are set up as detached bungalows with a patio, living room, kitchenette and washing machine. Villa 970 was advertised as ocean view but the trees and foliage block the view. The villas and hotel, restaurant and hotel office are stacked on the hill. There is a climb to get from the beach to the restaurant, pool and your room. 5-star staff and restaurant staff. General manager, “G”, runs her property as if her staff is family, she cares about them. They all knew our names and personal preferences. Ra Divers, the on-property dive shop, was professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and safe. Highly recommend.

We traveled to VoliVoli with a large group from our local (US) dive shop. The resort itself is beautiful and quiet. Amazing food and the staff and chef go FAR out of their way to accommodate any dietary needs; they even made me a dairy - free mango torte (it was delicious). Pretty much every day after diving we plunked ourselves down at the beach bar and enjoyed the food, the drinks, the beach view, and the company of other divers. We didn't see a TV the entire time we were there, so it truly was a welcome break from reality. Every member of the staff did whatever they could to make it a memorable trip and they surpassed all expectations. I had planned to list some staff members but honestly, every single staff member went out of their way for us. We went out into Rakiraki one afternoon, which I absolutely recommend. It is less expensive to get a taxi but if you can go with tour guide Soni you will learn a great deal about the country and culture. The diving is AMAZING. The Ra Divers staff was professional and knowledgeable . This was my only experience with "valet diving", it truly was full service. I was diving with a new camera set up and our divemaster, Tex, worked REALLY hard to help me find good shots, even holding me stable for a couple of tough ones. Every dive was preceded by a thorough brief. We had a "surprise" dolphin encounter, which was an unexpected high point. My husband and I had an amazing time. This was the "trip of a lifetime" that we saved up for and it was worth every penny and every hour of travel. I'm glad we spent it at Volivoli.

I recently stayed at Voli Voli Resort in Fiji and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Despite having modest expectations, I found the diving to be exceptional. The resort is well-organized, with a staff that is both friendly and efficient in handling large groups of guests, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and cared for. One of the highlights of my stay was the diving. The underwater experience was truly beyond what I had anticipated, making it the main attraction of the resort. The staff’s professionalism and expertise made each dive enjoyable and safe, and it’s clear that they know how to deliver a memorable diving experience. However, once the diving activities were done for the day, I found that the resort offered limited options for other activities. The organized excursions provided by the resort didn’t particularly appeal to me, and I found them to be overpriced for what they offered. This left me with a bit of downtime that could have been filled with more engaging or varied activities. The dining at the resort is abundant, but it seems heavily tailored to American tastes, with a lot of bacon and rather greasy options. While the food was of good quality, I would have appreciated a more diverse menu that offered a broader range of flavors, particularly local cuisine. The resort itself is good, with excellent facilities and a beautiful setting that makes for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the limited post-dive activities and the American-centric dining options, no free WiFi and some minor maintenance issues in the room I would definitely consider returning to Voli Voli Resort for another diving adventure.

We had an absolutely amazing week at VoliVoli and would go back in a heartbeat. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were very clean and nicely equipped. Beds were comfy and the view was SPECTACULAR! Food in the dining room was some of the best I've ever had anywhere (not just at a scuba resort) and the staff couldn't have been kinder and more generous to make sure you have the best trip ever! The diving operation was top notch and our experiences out in the Bligh water was some of the healthiest, fishiest, most pristine diving I've ever done in over 500 dives all over the world. The ride from the airport was long but scenic and once you are on the property the rest of the world kind of ceases to exist! My only critique was that drinks were a bit on the pricey side, but there are LOTS of chances to get happy hour deals and if you get a few cans or bottles of beer during those times you can save some $$. Can't recommend this place highly enough and loved Fiji and it's people tremendously!

We had the most incredible dive vacation ever with all the extras! Our Ocean Front Villa with a comfy bed, Kitchenette, washer and open shower, with a Beautiful sunset every evening was perfect for our 27th anniversary! Besides the 5 Star accommodations, delicious food & wonderful diving, was the outstanding staff!! From the front desk greetings & care to the daily welcoming dinning room service, the most delicious meals with the most accommodating chef, who met with us on day one to take notes on how he could meet our specific dietary needs & a surprise anniversary staff of about 12 who sang the most beautiful Fijian songs & served us a freshly baked whole chocolate cake. Then there was the super friendly diving team staff whose service was some of the best we’ve ever had & over one of our happiest vacations ever! Note: Their new dive boat was fast, lots of storage & the Captains, Divemasters & management were super friendly & accommodating.

Absolutely amazing resort ... stayed there with the family this year mid July and was blown away. Accommodation/Grounds: Exceptional, beautiful rooms, comfortable, clean and very well presented. Stunning grounds and views. Staff: Extremely knowledgeable and ready to help. Everyone from ground staff to management/owners were present and genuinely engaging with guests. High level of expertise demonstrated across the resort. Food: I love food and dining out, the restaurant did not disappoint. An aspect that exceeded my expectations. Diving: Can't say much more than world class. Not to be missed. General: I had high hopes at the time of booking but these were exceeded in every aspect. Can't speak highly enough of our time there and the people involved. Absolute must do. Blair Rawlins
