Het resort heeft een mooi ligging met uitzicht op zee. Wij hadden grote kamer (Double room) voor een zeer redelijke prijs. En met airco. De badkamer daarentegen was aan de kleine kant met een onhandige en zeer gladde badkuip om in te douchen. Het is ongeveer 10 min wandelen (langs de zee) naar de rand van het historische centrum. Het ontbijt (doordeweeks tot 10:30 uur) laat te wensen over. Het is nogal chaotisch. Het bijvullen laat te wensen over. Het gros van het personeel (ontbijtruimte, schoonmaak) komt ongeïnteresseerd over en heeft duidelijk geen scholing/ervaring op dit terrein. De hygiëne kan ook beter. Een keer constateerde ik dat de plakjes komkommer slijmerig waren. Deze waren duidelijk de vorige dag gesneden. Dat kan natuurlijk niet. Wij hadden het gevoel dat voor dit seizoenswerk de kaartenbak van uitkeringsinstantie leeggehaald was. Sinds dit jaar is er betaald parkeren ingevoerd (SEK 100 per dag). Dat is op zich nogal vreemd gezien de ligging ruim buiten het centrum. Nu stond op de Engelse versie van de website nog steeds ‘free parking’; nadat ik ze daar op gewezen heb, mochten wij toch alle dagen onze auto gratis parkeren. Netjes! De website is overigens wel gelijk aangepast.

Novi resort is close to the Visby center. The taxi charges 200sek from the Visby port. It becomes more convenient if you have a car. Self check in option makes it more easy. The Deluxe rooms are so worth it with a great view. Superior rooms are quite big as well. The breakfasts are filling and delicious. Special mention to Emy. She made our stay absolutely special. From serving us breakfasts to adhering to requests like giving us heater in the room, extra blankets etc. She is one of the highlight of our stay in Novi resort. Things that can be improved: - Reception closes at 4pm but it would be great if a single staff is around for later for any unforeseen issues. - Our room had heating issue, if such things are monitored it would be great.

Basic family hotel with outdoor pool. We had a good size apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Considering the high price the breakfast is quite poor by Swedish standards. Cheap cuts of meat, no fish, no salad, poor choice of breads. Parked here for one night and tried to work out the parking system which didn’t work as I got a 600 SEK fine next morning. Pity when a 3 star hotel which charges 4000 SEK per night and has plenty of parking space has to charge guests extra to park their car.

Novi was a nice resort to stay at on Gotland. The resort has a nice setting with pool and location by the beach. There’s a 15 minutes walk to the inner city and during a nice summer day it was very pleasant. Room was new and updated. Bathrooms were new and nice in the 2 bedrooms suite. Breakfast was decent with standard options at every hotel in Sweden/Europe. Staff was efficient but not overly friendly. One minus point is there is no room service (or the option was not mentioned in the room/during check-in). And the kitchen closed quite soon at 9:30.

Very good. I stayed here during May and found it really very good. Room was of a high standard with the bed being particularly comfortable. Even though the season hadn’t really got going, you could use the outdoor heated pool. Breakfast fine and staff pleasant; the two Indian guys being particularly helpful and pleasant. I would happily stay again.

If you are looking for a slow and calm vacation with good location, descent warm hotel staff, nice property with a great view then this is the right place. We stayed at the ocean bungalows which were pretty nice.

Excellent excellent simply excellent. Thank you so much for offering this lovely place. Excellent service minded staff. Special shout-out to Tilda and Emy they have been super helpful and accomodating. I will visit again in the summer

We stayed 3 nights at NOVI in mid June 2022 in a studio Bungalow. Everything from the room, to the location & the breakfast were excellent. Right at the coast near Visby hamn. The sunsets over the shore from the balcony were breathtaking. Child friendly as well with play areas indoors & outdoors. The rates are also very reasonsble if you book early.
