Sono stato una notte insieme alla mia famiglia, preso una suite, molto ampia, moderna,illuminata comoda ed elegante tutto molto curato. Personale, gentile e disponibile. L’hotel è al centro della città. Un’ottima colazione. Rapporto qualità prezzo, buono .

Mooi hotel in hartje Villach. We hebben 1 nachtje overnacht in het hotel. Er zijn in het hotel gerenoveerde kamers en “oudere” kamers. Wij hadden de oudere kamers. Deze zijn toch wat gedateerd maar voor de rest primaa. Alle gewenste voorzieningen zijn er en de kamers waren zeer schoon! Daarnaast hadden we ook ontbijt. Dit ontbijt was een lekker begin van de dag! Zeer ruim en genoeg keuze voor iedereen! Parkeren hebben wij bij hun geboekt. Dit is een fijne afgesloten parkeerplaats. Alleen moeilijk te bereiken. De moeite en prijs waard. Gebruik we de handleiding van het hotel, die heb je wel nodig hiervoor! Algeheel een aanrader mocht je een hotel zoeken in Villach.

One of the best hotels of my life! What a great service! What a breakfast! The room was so big! and from the window I could see the Chris**as market! Very closed to the river for a nice walk! and also within walking distance from the train station!

The hotel is right at the heart of the city Villach. It has a special charm as the building is historic, but all facilities and rooms are brought up to standard and met our expectations.
At 8:30am in the morning you will hear the church bell (two strikes to announce the half hour) as it is custom in many of the mid-town hotels in Austria. We thought it is nice that the church bell started at 8:30am and not earlier :-). It didn't bother us.
Parking is available but might cost extra. The parking spaces are tight and getting into the hotel parking lot requires some driving skills.
Another highlight is the breakfast. It was included in our room rate. It is excellent and uniquely served on a wooden structure that is placed on the table to save space.
The next day we walked through the town and got a lot of souvenir shopping done. You can find everything within walking distance in the pedestrian walking zone. Another reason why we had a great time in Villach.
We would definitely stay there next time again.

Hotel Palais is in a good location - parking was a little bit of a science project to find, but not far from the hotel. I booked a single, so my room was small, but it was comfortable and everything worked to my satisfaction. The bar in the lobby was super - what I enjoyed the most.

Huuh. This was really terrible (thanks god one night) stay. Our room was on a floor without an elevator, no one helped us with our luggage. Room was old with musty stench. Smelly carpets, bathroom. The room definitely didn't look like it did on the internet - or Booking. Breakfast. Mugs were missing from the coffee machine and tea, and there were no spoons anywhere. When we asked for mugs and cutlery, the staff ignored us. The waitress could not speak English, she looked and behaved contemptuously. We waited for everything, and after we got maybe a half of our requests. We call manager then. She at least apologized to us and let us park for free.. But that really was not enough.

There are different room sizes, ask a bigger one. In others the hotel is excellent overall

Excellent and attentive customer service. A nice breakfast is included that other hotels nearby would charge. Room antique furnitures shows some wear over the years. Shops & restaurants are very nearby.

The hotel building itself is lovely and in a good central location. Our basic, double room was a bit weird though: a separate shower room and toilet, a wash basin in the bedroom and very little storage space. There was no fridge or coffee and tea making facilities. There was a desk chair, but nowhere else to sit. To make up for this however, on each floor there are a number of very nice sitting areas with comfy couches and chairs. Breakfast is delivered to the table on a two tiered serving stand. You can also order fried or scrambled eggs and help yourself to cereals and juices. A fine place for a one night stay and, all things considered, pretty good value for money.
