Hotel Nestroy Wien

Ik boekte wat ik dacht dat het hotel Imlauer was, maar het bleek een apart blok aan de overkant van de weg te zijn genaamd Nestroy. Dit werd niet duidelijk gemaakt toen ik boekte en dus besefte ik het pas toen ik aankwam en met mijn kamerkaart de weg op werd gestuurd. Ik vermoed dat dit te wijten was aan het aanvragen van een eenpersoonskamer als individuele reiziger. Ik ben 65 en redelijk fit, maar er was geen aanbod van de receptie voor enige hulp bij mijn zaak en eenmaal in het gebouw besefte ik dat je drie treden naar beneden moest om de verouderde lift te bereiken die alleen naar het trappenhuis tussen elke verdieping gaat , waardoor u 13 stappen overhoudt om met een koffer te onderhandelen. Toen mijn kamer zich op de bovenste verdieping bevond, was er nog een stap om op te staan ​​om mijn kamer te bereiken. Zeer kleine kamer en extreem benauwd, maar het was schoon en comfortabel genoeg en het hotel is goed gelegen voor toegang tot de Schwedenplatz Ubahn en trams. Omdat er geen ontbijt is inbegrepen en het maar liefst 22,50 euro kost, had ik na het inchecken geen reden om het eigenlijke hotel binnen te gaan, dus ik kan geen commentaar geven op hoe het is. Omdat ik daar was om een ​​vriend te on**oeten voor het weekend, was het voor mij geen probleem, maar voor andere individuele reizigers zou ik willen voorstellen dat dit geen ideale plek is om te verblijven, omdat het behoorlijk isolerend is en als je minder goed in staat bent, is het dat wel niet zo toegankelijk. Anderen moeten vóór het boeken controleren welk van de twee hotels u boekt, aangezien dit helemaal niet duidelijk is op de website en er geen foto's zijn van de Nestroy!

It was a very nice stay. The reception is located in the opposite building. On daily basis, it's not a problem, but if you need assistance or wish to order sth at the bar - it's good to be aware of this - but we had been very clearly advised on this right after the booking. The room was very spacious. We've been provided the tea- and coffee facilities. It was very comfortable! Just one remark - the reception was quite reserved. When we had questions / needed assistance, we didn't really feel welcome. Besides - all was great!

We stayed agross the street at the Nestroy hotel. The room was big but has not been renovated since the 90s we think. Emty minibar, missing light. The Nightduty service was terrible when we came midnight. The stay was much to exoensive considered to the standard of the Nestroy Hotel. If we have paid less the review would have been better.

Location was perfect, close to "Prater" and one of main stations, from where you can get to anywhere. Service was good (only communicated at reception..), but it kinda felt that I wasnt staying at 4* hotel. There are 2 buildings, one that could be 4*, with reception etc., but the other one is across street and it felt more like 3* or like flat apar**ent. No reception there, only rooms and guests. Room felt kinda of dark, minibar was empty even though it had menu with prices. Overall it was ok, but that feeling of sorting didnt leave me.

Actually we stayed at Nestroy Hotel. Position is good to explore the city. Staff was nice and welcoming; unfortunately, the reception was in another building and this might have been troublesome in case of need. Rooms did not reflect parameters of a 4* accomodation, considering furnishings and amenities. Minibar was empty. However we appreciated the warmth of the room.

+ The location is great - lots of shops and restaurants nearby, including the subway. + The size of the room! It was HUGE! + The bed - very, very comfortable! + The indoor climate - very pleasant! Neither cold nor warm. + Large bathroom with plenty of counter space - The lift only goes to the mezzanine floors - quite a hassle with the suitcase - Furnished very darkly - dark floor, dark furniture - Little light - several dark lamps in the room, but none of them provide real light - Toilet always smelled like a drain - Light in the bathroom was bad (to put on make-up)

We have been at the Nestroy Hotel, just in front of the Imlauer Hotel. The room was always perfectly clean, and the staff at the reception has been helpful with all our requests. The hotel position is very good, close to metro, team and train stations. Just a couple of small drawbacks: - there is a persistent blue light in the room, coming probably from a wi-fi router, that could disturb a bit during the night - Unfortunately, there are many budget flights departing early in the morning, so you might need to travel by train to the airport because the metros start around 5AM. The Prater train station is close to the hotel, only 1 km. However, at night time that area is not the safest one. When there are many guests leaving before dawn, the hotel may be interested in offering a free drop-off to the Prater station - Tea and coffee filters are available in the room. However, it is not possible to have other similar options like camomile, the only way is to pay for it at the bar. All in all, I would recommend this hotel in Wien!

We stayed at Nestroy hotel, which is quite old and noisy (we heard all the noise from hallway and stomping from the room above ours and also noises from the street). The location is good, it is close to the city center and near to Prater, also metro and train stations are near.
