Prima guesthouse in koloniale stijl met groot overdekt terras, fraaie tuin en aardig zwembad. Kamers, enigszins gedateerd, zijn zeer ruim, met prive terrasje en gelegen rond de tuin. Goed ontbijt. Gelegen in een buitenwijk, taxi vervoer naar falls en overige activiteiten. Sommige personeelsleden spraken maar matig Engels. De dame die mogelijke activiteiten met ons besprak was, zeker in vergelijk met onze ervaringen elders tijdens onze Afrika rondreis, weinig communicatief. Ook de manager kwam tijdens ons t****aagse verblijf slechts eenmaal langs in een rush tijdens het ontbijt. Wij hebben niet gegeten in het hotel. Prettige plek om te acclimatiseren na een lange reis via Johannesburg vanuit Europa.

Bed and Breakfast good selection of food however premium coffees (latte, cappuccino etc) are not included. The rooms are excellent, very spacious and well appointed with both South African Power plugs and Zimbabwe (UK) power. Kettle in room and min fridge. The bathroom was great with a double vanity and huge shower. Mosquito nets around the beds and TV mounted on the wall, perfect viewing from bed. Only one side of the guest lodges have Smart TV’s. I’d request if you’re keen. We hadn’t watched TV for over a week, and it was lovely for a quiet night in. The restaurant offers a good selection for dinner choice of two entrees, three mains and two deserts. Pricing was very reasonable. We ended up eating all three nights at Batonka after full days out sightseeing. Staff were lovely and very attentive to requests and needs.

We loved relaxing and dining in this lovely oasis. After nine nights in the bush this retreat offered us exactly what we needed. I took advantage of the huge bathtub to soak away all the accumulated red dust of Botswana. Victoria falls was just 10 minutes away. We also recommend a private lunch boat cruise offered by Pure Africa. Wish I was still there! Look for the resident chameleon in the bush near the veranda.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. The lodge was well appointed with a lovely large sun deck for breakfast, lunch, dinners and drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was pretty basic, but large enough to feel like I had space not to be cramped. I had dinner at the lodge one night which was fantastic and very tasty food. Breakfast one morning was porridge which was stellar but the second morning it was less so sadly. I'd definitely stay here again.

We spent only one evening at this establishment, but found it very nice. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the facility was immaculately maintained. The food was good and reasonably priced.

The Batonka is a great place to replenish yourself after the safari bush drives. The large rooms are modern and up to date. The lodge is sealed off from the town and offers a sea of tranquility inside. Relax by the pool for some quiet time. The restaurant offers very good food at reasonable prices, even if their service is a little slow. We walked from the lodge to the falls during the day( 25 min.), but always took a taxi if returning from town at night. The Batonka was just what we needed to recharge between safaris.

Lovely hotel...clean, terrific staff, good value! The breakfasts were exceptional with lots of buffet and menu choices. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had TV, phones and mini fridges. There was a complimentary shuttle to the Falls and the Village at 10 am and again in the afternoon. Getting back was on our own, bit the hotel gave us a cab service to use with a flat fee. Just wish it was a bit closer to the Falls or village.

I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. The grounds were so beautiful. The rooms are large, completely updated huge bathroom. Once the helicopter rides stop at the end of the day, you can actually hear the roar of Victoria Falls from Batonka.. I have to give a shout out to Lloyd. Having breakfast out on the patio was so peaceful and beautiful. Food was delicious and a great variety.

This is a lovely place and staff are very friendly. The breakfast has enough to chose from cooked breakfast and continental selection. There are also complimentary afternoon snacks and juice. Rooms are spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens. There is also a small pool and sun loungers. It is not too far from Victoria Falls and the town. We walked from Victoria Falls Bridge to Batonka, it took about 30mins (there is not much shade on the walk so not for those that don't like heat). There are regular transfers from the hotel if you prefer the drive. All in all a good stay and would recommend it.
