I had to make several calls in order to get my room information. There was no one at the hotel to meet us. When I finally got a response and call back. Its was 15 minutes after the note on the door said they qould be back. The room had no iron and ironing board, I asked about getting one. She stated I had to wait for the manager to come in from 8 to 2. Then she told me I had to tip the cleaning lady before I leave. The TV, didn't work and the WiFi was spotty. Great location, but service needs to improve.

We’ve been locked out, very poor service and we’ve been waited so long to get someone open the door. It’s very frustrating especially if you’re traveling from overseas.

This is a nice property with a good location, but their remote check-in approach failed. They did not reply to emails for help. Repeated phone calls went into voice mail for three hours. They finally called and gave me an access code to get into my room. I was about to fall asleep, at 10 pm, when there was a knock on the door. Another guest was there to retrieve a suitcase and explain that he had been told to go to a different room.

Be aware there is no front desk. Any interaction came from housekeeping. The only confusing experience was the check in with no front desk. Very clean room and very convenient location

We stayed with Locanda Herion mid October and found the location convenient and the accommodations comfortable. It was strange to never have seen a hotel employee at all during our stay but I understand this is the way some properties are going. It didn't cause us too much trouble.
The only problem was some confusion with the checkin instructions. The instructions I was originally sent referred to a door that is not used in the "winter" (I didn't realize it was winter), The codes for the door in use and for our suite I had to manually request on the day of arrival.
Other than that the directions to find the property from the train station were perfect.
We would stay here again if we returned.

5 stars WITH HEAVY RESERVATIONS.
FIRST AND FOREMOST: download whatsapp before you stay here. We waited an hour in the rain for information to access the building but could not get a hold of anyone because of our US phone service until another guest helped us out and god bless her for doing so. She showed us to contact the peraon through whatsapp and aa soon as I got a hold of someone we were immediately in. The room was wonderful, the location was great, it was a perfect stay after the initial hiccup which may have been a random hiccup. So I repeat: download whatsapp because that's how we got a hold of someone quickly.

I am giving this places a 2 star because THEY CONVENIENTLY do not accept ANY kind of credit card to pay, and in the ad it says they do!!! So I has to pay in cash!!
