I wanted to give the hotel 4-1/2 stars, if only that rating was possible. We were looking for a place convenient to the St. Lucia rail station and the local bus terminal at Piazza Roma. The Ca' Nigra was a real gem. Located just minutes from both, it's location was ideal for an overnight accommodation. Rooms are decorated in 18th century motif. Kind of quaint. Customer service was excellent, both prior to arrival and during our stay. The hotel is so quiet, only church bells and doves in the morning. The breakfast was excellent! They really have extensive variety. There are lots of local shops just over the canal, and plenty of places to eat as well.

Excellent hotel. We stayed three nights in Venice and could not be happier with the hotel. The gardens are nice, with breakfast seating at the canal. Our room was clean, spacious, and everything worked. The staff were very helpful with directions and getting a private water taxi (arrived at the resort’s private boathouse). No issues!

Very nice hotel, perfectly located with a wonderful garden facing the grand canal. Good breakfast that could also be enjoyed in the garden. Spacious and well equipped rooms. Excellent service provided by all staff members, also regarding assistance with bookings and planning of excursions.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Venice, you need not look further than the Ca´Nigra Lagoon Resort. It is a 4 star hotel but deserves all 5 stars for quality of service, friendliness and location. Prices are reasonable, the rooms are large and well equipped, nights quiet, breakfast very good- and the hotel lies within a small park with a really nice breakfast terrace by the Grand Canal. The hotel is just a short walk from the bus and train terminals, with water-bus stops from both directions nearby. For those who need the exercise the famous city centre is just a 15 min walk away. Will be going back next year..

The location of this hotel is really convenient. It's closer to the train station than the action, but everything is definitely within an easy walk or boat ride. The front desk lady booked a water taxi for us and in hind sight I should have done it myself because it ended up costing significantly more than it should have. I love that the rooms were spacious and had direct views of the canal. We only had one night there but if we ever return to Venice we would definitely consider this hotel again.

PERFECT location, fabulous green space, helpful and courteous staff, spacious room all at a reasonable price. I would gladly recommend this hotel for anyone. Loved having a window on the canal and sitting in the garden watching people on the grand canal go by.

Great room, good location and very clean. The man at the desk was very helpful and welcoming! Comfy and clean bed. Didn’t get a chance to try any room service or the bar, but I can imagine it’d be good! Definitely great for couples and I would return here should I visit Venice again

A truly lovely and super friendly hotel. The garden was beautiful - all lit up at night and by day could spend ages looking out on the grand canal and people crossing the station bridge. The room was very spacious and lovely, with a view over the side canal. All the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. All round a super stay. I'd go again.

The hotel is centrally located in Venice and has an amazing garden on the Grand Canal. It is located with a few blocks of the train station. All of the staff were friendly and helped in any way they could. Unfortunately, the night we checked in the air conditioner for the building was not working and we slept with our windows open. Unfortunately the windows did not have screens and the next morning every guest in the hotel all shared the same multiple mosquito bite story over breakfast.
