Als koppel met heel veel reiservaring over de ganse wereld, moeten we zeggen dat dit een van de meest ontgoochelende adressen ooit is. We hadden ons gebaseerd op de goede reviews en de foto’s en zijn bovendien meestal heel blij met onze accomodaties. Het onthaal was al van in het begin kort en vrij onbeleefd. De kamer was langs de “ringweg” gelegen, dus echt lawaaierig (alle verkeer moet langs daar)! Met als reactie van de eigenaars: ah ja … dit is een stadshotel! Sorry, het is een hotel op de periferie weg! (Zie foto rood cirkeltje = kamer). De douche, die op de foto van de site netjes leek, was in realiteit vuil en vies en absoluut toe aan een opfrisbeurt. (Zie foto’s) Wegens ziekte moesten we een dag vroeger vertrekken , waar ook heel onattentvol op werd gereageerd. We hebben de niet gebruikte nacht ook correct betaald, maar zonder enige tegemoetkoming van de eigenaar. Het ontbijt bijvoorbeeld werd ook doorgerekend. We stayed at La Maison Rouge for 2 nights in October.
The Maison is perfectly situated in Uzès, very clean and comfortable, delightfully authentic in that classic French way and surrounded by the wonderful shops, restaurants and cobbled streets of old Uzès. Fabiènne is a great hostess, and the breakfasts are terrific. Thoroughly recommended.

What a wonderful b&b! We oved our week at La Maison Rouge. Fabienne is the perfect host – charming, helpful, always around, but never intrusive. And La Maison Rouge was the perfect accommodation, meeting our needs for peace and tranquility, space (the suite with garden & park view was well worth it), proximity to parking and to the old town and its cafes, restaurants and historical sights, and a garden and swimming pool in which to cool off after a long day. It was so lovely to wake in the morning to the sound of doves cooing and to go down to breakfast (delicious!) in the garden. For us, La Maison Rouge was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful old town of Uzes and the surrounding Occitanie countryside.

All the good reviews are very accurate, we loved staying at La Maison Rouge! The location was fantastic, very walkable and a parking lot is across the street. Uzes was one of our favorite towns on this trip, and our accommodations were great. Fabienne was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the loft over the garage, which might be the only room with air conditioning, and we were very glad to have it. The staircase in that building is very steep, but we are in good shape so it wasn't an issue. It was also very nice to have the option to picnic in the yard one night when we didn't feel like going out to eat. Lovely spot!

There were 10 of us staying here for a weekend celebration and it was absolutely brilliant. The hosts couldn't do enough to ensure that we were comfortable and we had the luxury of the 4 poster bed on the second floor! It was quiet and secluded but close to the town centre and park for walks. We awoke to the gorgeous smell of baking croissants (they are prepared at 3am to ensure freshness) and enjoyed continental breakfast in the garden under the trees. Gorgeous local fruit jams, cold meats, breads, cereal and coffee too. Our celebratory lunch was incredible - the tastied, daintiest canapes, interesting antipasti platter then melt in the mouth rare beef for the main course. The lemon tart for pud was sharp with crispy pastry, just the way we like it. All superb. We used the pool every day and strolled into town for coffees, drinks and to explore. There's so much to see and do in Uzes, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Une adresse charmante, permettant d'allier l'accessibilité à Uzès à pied et un havre de tranquillité dans un beau jardin ombragé avec piscine. La décoration est chaleureuse et paisible à l'image des hôtes. La literie est très confortable. Une adresse à retenir
