Nice and quaint hotel outside of Odda. Tyssedal is small and really not much there but it is great base for Trolltunga trek as shuttle bus pass by and it is only 20mins to P2. The hotel is located near historical hydro power station worth visiting for its architecture and on the fjord, and across the road is an industrial plant but I did not hear any noise. Rooms are simple and old style although the bathrooms have been renovated and are modern. Staff really helpful and friendly and breakfast was good, simple options; not extensive. Adjoining restaurant is fabulous, ate twice for dinner. Very comfortable beds and lovely to see the fjord view each morning. I feel this hotel has a lot of potential if a few more renovations can be done in the rooms. Things like a bit more amenities and attention to detail like providing kettle, tea/coffee cups, more electrical outlets, desk with light, quality cupboards and cups for brushing your teeth!! Overall I really enjoyed the stay. I would add that as Tyssedal is outside of Odda, it is great if you have your own car otherwise really need to research bus timetables for Odda connections as they may not come too frequently on certain days. Hotel has trek clothing and equipment for hire also.

Nice room, maybe a little above average size for the country. Clean and updated bathroom. Excellent breakfast included, free parking. Best part was by far the view from the room. Across the street from the Trolltunga parking entrance, so it is super convenient if looking to hike. Dinner was good, but a little pricey.

We had our sons confirmation dinner at Tyssedal Hotel, with 26 guests. Excellent food and service. Claudia took care of everything, and made the day fantastic. She is professional and structured, and a splendid host. The hotel is perfect for arrangements, with fantastic a**osphere and beautiful scenery.

Великолепный отель. В первую очередь хочется отметить отзывчивость и доброжелательность персонала. В особенности поблагодарить администратора Марио, который помог нам несколько раз за время нашего пребывания. Расположение шикарное, вид на горы волшебный. Мы добирались до отеля из Одды на такси. Номер просторный. Есть ниша в стене для одежды, стол, кровать и тумбочки. Большая ванная комната с окном. В ванне есть всё необходимое - шампуни, гели для душа, фен, полный набор полотенец. Из окон открывался прекрасный вид на горы. На первом этаже есть лаундж-зона для всех гостей с диванчиками, столиками, настольными играми. Завтрак - шведский стол, всё было очень-очень вкусно. Также при отеле работает ресторан, мы живём в Петербурге и бывали во многих хороших ресторанах, так вот ресторан при отеле просто потрясающий, 10 из 10. Сначала немного смутили цены, но после первого кусочка все сомнения отпали. Закуски, горячее, десерты - всё невероятно вкусно. Также очень удобно, что есть услуга по аренде экипировки (обувь, рюкзаки, ланч) для подъёма на Язык Тролля. Мы воспользовались арендой треккинговых ботинок и упаковки ланча с собой, что очень облегчило нам подъем, так как в наших простых кроссовках было бы неудобно. В целом пребывание в Tyssedal Hotel было восхитительным, очень рада, что нам удалось забронировать номер именно тут, в этом прекрасном отеле, реальность превзошла все наши ожидания ♥♥♥

Bel établissement qui a gardé de sa superbe : les chambres ont été rénovées, la salle de bain, immense, est moderne et fonctionnelle. Nous avons très bien dormi dans une literie très confortable. Le bâtiment est ancien donc l’insonorisation n'est plus optimale mais comme l'hôtel était quasi vide, cela ne nous a pas empêché de nous reposer.Point noir : l'environnement de l'hôtel, face aux usines. Pas de ballade possible autour du fjord. Les activités sont réduites en cas d'arrivée de bonne heure. Plutôt d'arrêter à Odda où les paysages sont bien plus beaux. Pour autant, l'équipe est très accueillante, repas très bon au restaurant, tant pour le dîner que le petit déjeuner, même si les prix du restaurant sont peut-être excessifs en regard à la quantité présente dans l'assiette... mais nous sommes en Norvège, la vie est chère.

Un hotel per una notte, e giusto se non avete voglia di cercare di meglio… struttura vecchia… letti con lenzuola che nemmeno coprivano tutto il materasso… bagni anni ‘70 con prodotti da stendere un velo pietoso… non c’è ascensore (quindi portare su e giù i bagagli…). Concordo invece con quanto riportato dalle guide sul ristorante: davvero ottimo!!! Se proprio non volete desistere non sprecate soldi a chiedere la vista fiordo (vedi foto…)… fatevi andare bene la “vista luogo di interesse”… sapendo però che il luogo di interesse è il retro dell’hotel lato montagna… Non ci tornerei
