Red Sands Hotel was awesome! Although it's an older hotel, it's very clean and well maintained. I love the location - secluded enough to really enjoy Torrey, yet the restaurant/ bar downstairs and a nearby coffee shop (Wild Rabbit) allowed for my winter stay to be quiet and relaxing.
The staff was very welcoming and kind. The ambiance of the entire hotel was awesome.
I'll definitely visit again!

Very nice hotel with spacious and clean rooms. The hotel offers spa, pool, jacuzzi, outside fire place, telescope service, … Very friendly and helpful staff. Really nothing we didn’t like. The hotel also has a nice backyard with excellent views. And the hotel is located in an excellent vacation location!

My GPS sent me to a private residence but I am pretty familiar with the area so it wasn't a big deal, however for someone not familiar, it might be. My stay was fine.

The property building is very well-pointed. The lobby is very beautiful with electric fireplace, a library, coffee, beautiful landscape view from the large open window. The room is very well furnished with high quality. Late check-in was very accommodating and friendly. But the lady staff in the morning was very rude. She chased us out the beautiful sitting area to the map area, remained glooming all the time we were there, never smiled a singled time, said a single friend word to us.

We stayed for one night while traveling. The room was clean, the hotel seemed a little dated. Overall decent place to stay but on the pricey side.

I had received the text to check in the morning of our arrival but we could never get the connection because of coverage in the area we were in, I guess. Once we realized that we wouldn't arrive until after 10PM, we call twice and left 2 voicemails asking for a return call to make sure that we could still check in that late. NEVER received a call back. While checking in, told the young lady at the front desk about the calls (wasn't even angry, just happy to have finally arrived), her response "phone never rang here!". I guess we were interrupting her evening. For the price we paid for a mediocre room, we expected some customer service. The hotel overall just felt kind of gloomy even in the morning. The view in the back was great.

One night stay while hoping the national parks. Rooms were good. Staff friendly. Only complain was food. No free breakfast, only offered instant oatmeal. Coffee was horribly weak. If you went to restaurant on site coffee was $4 cup. Nightly price was comparable to hotels that offer full breakfast. No fast food in Torrey to get breakfast.
