Het hotel is van veel gemakken voorzien, maar wat onbegrijpelijk en onnavolgbaar is, is het feit dat kinderen niks mogen in het water. Het spelen met een bal is absoluut verboden. Er wordt direct naar je gefloten. Ook met een kleine opblaasbare band mag je het water niet in. De eenvoudige glijbanen mogen niet op je buik genomen worden. Meest irritant is dat men geen Engels spreekt en begrijpt. Men spreekt vooral Spaans en Frans. Een enkeling spreekt een paar woorden Engels. Verder is het eten prima verzorgt en zijn de kamers mooi schoon en goed onderhouden. Het zwembad is prachtig.

De kamer was schoon en netjes. Dat was voor ons het enige positieve wat we hebben ervaren. We hadden meer geld betaald voor frontaal zeezicht, maar dat bleek zwembadzicht te zijn, met daarachter de zee. Het eten daarentegen...dat was echt slecht. Variatie was er wel, maar het was het allemaal echt niet. We hadden niet het idee dat de koks (of de manager) de intentie hadden om gasten iets lekkers voor te schotelen. We zijn dan ook niet gebleven en hebben het hotel eerder verlaten en ergens anders een fantastische tijd gehad. En heerlijk gegeten;-)

Afrader!! Ik snap niet hoe dit hotel aan 4 sterren komt. Het personeel is vreselijk, de muren zijn van papier en het hotel is verouderd. Tot midden in de nacht hoor je zelfs op de derde verdieping de ‘show’ van beneden door je oordoppen heen. Hiernaast staat de PING van de lift zo hard dat wij aan het einde van de gang er gewoon wakker van werden. Als je denkt een relaxed Spa hotel te boeken, zit je met deze verkeerd. Het is 1 groot krijspaleis en als je wil ‘vluchten’ uit dit hotel moet je een ‘boete’ betalen van 2 nachten. Meest vreselijke 4 sterren hotel waar wij ooit zijn geweest. Echt enige positieve zijn de zwembaden.

We have just checked out of the Playacálida after a truly wonderful 5 days. We travelled as a family from England and had the best time. Our room was lovely and quiet with a stunning view of the sea, beds made up each day. The pools are amazing and so much fun for the kids (aged 12 and 9). Food was lovely. Infinity pool was out of this world with spectacular views!! Staff very friendly. We also visited the spa and children are allowed in at certain times- we all loved it. Have recommended to friends already and we will certainly not hesitate to return to this hotel, can’t wait to come back! Thank you

This was a return stay at the Playacalida after staying last year. Once again a fantastic relaxing stay, hotel was spotless, food good - always able to find something and majority of it delicious. After reading other reviews we have to disagree and say staff were all friendly and helpful in both pool bar and restaurant. They did not show any preference for serving Spanish guests first. The kids love the pools but the infinity and lazy river were very cold, maybe it's just the time of year. We would definitely stay again and would recommend if you want a holiday just to relax. If you want action packed this is probably not the place for you unless youre willing to hire a car and drive around.

What amazing time my sin and I had. The hotel is amazing the staff where very friendly. Our rooms where perfect. We stayed on bed and breakfast. The food was lovely We were spoilt for choice. Highly recommended this hotel. My son is austic and he finds it hard with other people but the staff were very friendly and made my son feel at ease. Justwant to say thank you.

We stayed at the hotel from 6th - 10th May and reading some of the other reviews, I wonder if they stayed in the same hotel. When we arrived there was an issue with our booking (holiday company's fault not the hotel) and they were amazing, made sure we had everything we needed, upgraded our room and made us feel welcome. The hotel is situated quite a way from other places but for us (myself and my 11 year old) it was perfect as we just wanted peace and quiet. There is a park nearby which we walked through to reach a lovely cafe and a small shop. The hotel is spotless and the staff are lovely (whether you are English or not!) yes some of the food isn't to my taste but I was never hungry and the fresh salads, breads etc were amazing. The pool area is gorgeous, infinity pool is fantastic as well as the lazy river and the indoor pool is decent too. As we were leaving early on friday we were offered breakfast but I had already arranged for something else. In conclusion....this is not a party hotel, this is a place to go to relax/chill out and enjoy being away from home. The service we received was fantastic.
