Plazamar

The apar**ents are in a perfect location, right in the middle of lovely La Carihuela on the beach. We paid extra for one of the 6 sea view rooms, which had a fantastic view and we enjoyed watching the sun come up from the comfortable beds and gazing at the sea. We also saw bats and parrots from the balcony. The other rooms overlook the buzzing pedestrianised square and all balconies are great for watching what's going on below, with a table and 2 chairs. There is another table and chairs inside if the weather isn't great. The area is quite lively, in a nice way, so there is some outside noise, but with the windows shut, it's really quiet. Air con and heating that works really well. The kitchenette is small with 2 cooking rings, toaster, kettle and full sized fridge but it's fine for preparing breakfast, lunch and drinks. Washing up liquid and cloths are provided, but no kitchen bin, just the small bedroom and bathroom bins. Perhaps a central bin could be provided near the lift or near reception for bottles and kitchen waste? A minor point though. The room was otherwise spacious and was cleaned and towels replaced nearly every day by the lovely lady who let me practice my Spanish with her. The staff are really friendly and will help with anything they can. I left a few items to dry on the back of a chair one day and when we returned, a washing line and pegs had been provided. Email communication before our stay was very good. Tips - Taxis cannot drop you right outside, so check the map beforehand. Reception is only open 10.30 - 2.30, so if you're arriving outside these hours, you will need to get a code to enter the secure building. If you have time between checking out and your flight, there are no communal facilities to use to freshen up etc., although you are able to leave your cases. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again. My only negative was that people smoking on adjoining balconies wasn't very nice when we were eating, but this is the same in most places.

Saw these apar**ents a few years ago when we visited La Carihuela. The location is perfect right in the centre of the square. Nothing is to much trouble. The apar**ents are cleaned daily and you are given fresh towels daily. We will definitely return.

Unfortunately I cannot rate the apar**ent can only rate my trea**ent. Booked through *********** for one week received no confirmation number or PIN number and despite contacting by email 9 days prior to intended dates received no replies. Froze my card as worried about situation but had to unfreeze for necessary payment and had €710 taken from my account by plazamar apar**ents despite never having had confirmation of booking. Spoke with Carmen who blamed ***********. *********** saying it’s apar**ents fault for taking money. After numerous phone calls to international numbers and messages by the dozen. I was told my email and number was wrong. This is untrue as I screen shot the booking details on the date and my details are and were always correct. After several attempts at getting my money back for goods not received I have now initiated legal action as this must have happened to others. Extremely upset that I was charged by plazamar when it was obvious I had no idea booking had gone through was able to get Carman to give me her reservation number which she admits is through *********** on her side. Therefore would be reasonable to assume that she should have dispute with *********** not the customer I have attempted to contact and discuss situation but to no avail. Disgusted that I am out of pocket and received no holiday through no fault of my own not to mention getting the run around now have very expensive phone bill from being put through to many international calls with no resolution 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Stayed 10 nights nothing to much trouble reception and maid service excellent rooms spotless towels changed everyday. Even let us keep room as we had late flight. Will definitely be back thank you to you all. Also perfect location for restaurants shops supermarkets and beach

I stayed at the plazamar for 9 booked nights but only spent 6 nights because I also went to granada and had to leave one day earlier. Actually I paid for 9 nights wishing to leave my luggage at the hotel and not wasting time checking in and out. Very friendly welcome at checkin. I had room 4. A 20 sq meter Studio for 2. Clean with plaza views. Little balcony and soundproof window. The only drawbacks are as fellow. Bad mattress. No window blinds. The drapes Let the sun come in and because the plaza is lit 24h it's very uncomfortable. The Light over the door that cannât be dimmed so I had to Cover it up . Kitchen lay out is not very handy and the coffee maker needs a serious update. That being said, I would recommend but I guess it must be very loud in high season so if me you cherish your sleep,....well maybe there must be other options. Torremolinos is tourist oriented and options are galore. But, at €42- à night, its very competitive. I had an excellent stay and the hosts are very friendly. I took à few pictures inside and trust the official site, its very clean and looks as it shows. No hidden flaws. As said, its only the bed that requires à change of mattress...my back has become too sensitive. 😄 if you chose plazamar be assured its clean, central and Lively. 1 minute to the beach.
