We stayed here with our teenagers and found the apartment lovely, modern & clean. However the ‘double’ beds very small, more like a large king single for Westerners. My husband ended up using one of the futons in the futon area and slept there with my daughter, so he could have some decent sleeping space. However, the futons were very thin and not overly comfortable.
The main challenge with the apartment is the sensor lights that come on when the bathroom used during the night, they were very bright, particularly over the futon area and easily disrupted sleep. My husband ended up putting tape over the sensor lights to stop it however I’m sure not.everyone is able to come up with this solution. The bathroom is good and generous in size.
My husband did find the desk with a large screen quite useful as he was working a few hours most mornings and could plug in his laptop and use the big screen
The couch is small and very firm and uncomfortable. Although they have a kettle there are no actual coffee cups with handles, only some stainless steel vessels.
Overall I’d only recommend Minn Asakusa for a few nights stay as it is very close to the train station and sightseeing. We stayed an entire week that just wasn’t comfortable enough for that duration.
