LANG HOTEL Ueno

Location was great! Peaceful cos we are a few lanes away from the main road, yet near and just opposite Ameyoko market where all the happening vibes are. Walking distance to Ueno station as well as airport train station. Room was spacious for family of 4 with 4 big luggages. Not used to the thin Tatami mattresses which can take a toll on old bones especially after clocking thousands of steps roaming Tokyo. Spring mattress was better. Comes with washer and kitchenette. Our only complaint is that there is water seepage from corners of the toilet and we are unable to trace where the water cane source. That grossed us out a bit. sour

This is a small hotel. Cleanliness was good and the room was clean, though small. They don’t include housekeeping in the rate — if you want your room cleaned during your stay, you’ll need to pay extra. There’s also no laundry service. The location isn’t bad and it’s convenient enough. Overall, it was okay for a short stay.

Front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

The room is a bit overprice comparing to the services that the hotel could supported. Although we love the room and the space. The washing machine and the dryer was supported, but the dryer never really dry the clothes, so we need to hang it manually. Location is just okay.

i have read many reviews before booking this hotel. they all complain about hoe smelly the room is. and yes despite of the good location, the cleanliness of the room and the spacious of the room. the only problem is it is very smell from the toilet. at first we think closing the restroom door would help but its not. there is noway we can fix that. and other thing is if you are easily sensitive to morning light the will wake you up . i would not reccommend this room cause the curtain was very thin and the sunlight can get through it and wake you up easily. the room didnt has a full body mirror so if you're the one who want it for dressing up and matching your outfit , i would not recommend this too, (also no fullbody mirror in the lobby area. the last part is the lighting in the room was very dark and less i cant do my make up easily.

Location : Perfect, 5 mins walk to Ueno for dining and shopping, 10 mins to Ueno station or Metro. Services : Actually it is NOT a hotel, it is more like AirBnB, you can’t expect any hotel services from them. Cleanliness : The toilet is worst as it was not built-in with building, it was retrofitted as additional to the original design that’s why floor level of toilet was lifted up 15cm higher the room floor for drainage. Strange smell always around after use.

The registration process before check-in date was easy. The overall information was provided including how to reach the hotel from nearby train stations and appliance manuals. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was clean and spacious (we could open 3 large luggage at the same time without having to squeezing each other.

Overall, the experience was good and quite satisfactory. The place was comfortable and met expectations in most aspects. However, the Wi-Fi was a bit slow, which could be improved for a better stay.
