Hotel Doro City is een goede keuze. De kamers zijn zonder meer verouderd, weinig stopcontacten, beetje ouderwets badkamertje, maar schoon. Maar een super ontbijt, goed restaurant erbij, en het Skanderbegplein ligt op 20 minuten lopen, shoppingcentre Ring op 5 minuten lopen.

Op de foto’s presenteren ze het aardig, maar dit hotel mag absoluut geen 4 sterren dragen. Ik mocht verblijven in een kamertje die nodig een renovatie nodig heeft. Slechte verlichting, kapotte vloer, kapotte wc en een douche die continu overstroomt. Enige pluspunt was het bed dat nog goed lag. Qua service mankeerde er ook nog genoeg aan. Hoewel het ontbijt tot 10.00 duurde was om 09.00 heel veel op, koud en werd amper bijgevuld. Uitslapen was er ook niet bij. Housekeeping was al voor 7 uur in de ochtend erg luidruchtig, druk pratend en hielden totaal geen rekening met de gasten. Dieptepunt was dat ze na een schoonmaakronde in mijn kamer de deur niet op slot hadden gedaan en iedereen zo mijn kamer in kon wandelen.

Erg verouderd interieur / meubilair; Veel lawaai van airco, verkeer, cafemuziek en andere gasten; Donker; Geen vrije stopcontacten: ik moest de stekker van de lamp uittrekken om mijn gsm op te laden; Lege frigo (niet nodig, maar voor 40€ mag er op zijn minst een flesje water in staan); Computerscherm zonder verbinding; Perculator-koffie bij zeer matig ontbijt;

There was no even a bottle of water in the room. No mini bar. No soket next to bed. And I could hear all noises from coridor.

Quiet Hotel. Nice large room with huge bed. Room had fridge, tv and Wi-Fi but no tea or coffee. Wi-Fi was very erratic in the room. Room was a little tired but quite comfortable. It was about a 20 min walk from the main square. We stayed there twice. Saturday night was very loud on the streets of Tirana and this hotel seemed to be away from the noise. Breakfast was quite good.

This hotel was booked for me by my client in Albania. It is clean and rooms are ensuite with good WiFi. The staff are friendly, helpful and some speak good English. Room 301 is tired and in need of decoration. The walls are scuffed and marked, furniture is grubby and the two single beds are hard and uncomfortable. There is only one plug socket in the room and the mini bar is empty - although the fridge was useful. A kettle was provided when asked for but there are no drinks facilities and bottled water is not provided. The room has air-conditioning. The ensuite bathroom is clean but scruffy with cigarette burns on the bathroom cabinet, chipped tiles and dirty grouting. The toilet is on an odd step which is a trip.hazzard. The shower curtain doesn't reach floor level so the shower floods the bathroom whenever it is used. Breakfast is buffet style and is ok but is stocked with the cheapest of ingredients. Food was fresh but it can be described as anything more than ok. My client included dinner in my reservation. I opted to eat out most nights and pay for it myself since there was no choice of food and a low quality canteen style meal was put down in front of me. Last night's meal was green salad, meat nuggets (not sure what meat).and mashed potatoes and ice cream. Overall, the hotel is adequate for an overnight stay but not for an extended stay that I endured. I don't know how much it cost per night but, if it isn't very cheap, my client was ripped off.

Hotel is located in a beautiful, central part of town with great restaurants and stores close by and the waterfront a few minutes walk further.

Everything was great. Walking distance from Asllan Rusi, the bus station for intercountry buses.
