Lovely hotel about 10/15min walk from centre of town. All the staff here are lovely and can’t do enough for you, especially reception and breakfast staff. Beds are the most comfortable I have stayed in whilst away. Breakfast, Sofia laid on a very good selection to suit all tastes, there were even little banoffee and cheesecake jars, which were delicious. Breads, meats, cheeses, tartes, cakes, fruit etc. each day there were 3 items in the warm counter as well plus you can order eggs to be cooked fresh. Housekeeping come in everyday and the rooms are spotless. Only think I would say if that ideally could do with more storage in rooms as no drawers, hanging space was limited above kettle etc and nowhere to hang longer dresses. No dressing table so found myself sitting in front of the tv, straightening my hair in reflection of tv😂. Plenty of outside space for our room with long bean bags for sunbathing and the plunge pool was a godsend in this heat. Hardly anyone ever sits round the main pool which is just as well as there are only 5 sun loungers. The infinity pool is lovely but beware the steps are very slippery and we saw several people go flying, ideally there should be a handrail there. Snack bar in afternoon serves things like Greek salad, toasties and omelettes but reception have takeaway menus from some good places so you can order something different in if you prefer for lunch/dinner. There is a bar in the evening but I rarely saw anyone there so meant there was no a**osphere. Shame as there was nowhere to sit outside in the evening for a drink. Maybe the land in front of infinity pool could be adapted to cater for some seating for the evening or some additional sun loungers as would be a lovely place to sit. There is a petrol station just up from hotel so ideal if you need to get in some drinks/milk etc. Wouldn’t recommend the baguettes there at all! Supermarkets- if you walk into town there is one there on the way in or if you walk further to the other end there is a slightly bigger one. Beaches- we went to 2 but weighing it up we preferred Fokas. Fokas this is about 7euros one way in taxi from hotel. You can get a bus to/from this beach which is 1euro 80 but this goes from town centre. We went to the Sundara beach bar and set (1 umbrella and 2 loungers) is 20 euros. They serve food and there is toilet there. Sandy beach with few stones as you enter. Romanus beach was about 22euros in taxi one way. This beach has less stones. We went by Lefko beach bar, again 20 euros for umbrella set. Service for drinks very good there. Toilet is a bit of a pain as you have to ask for a key each time and got to go to building near where you enter the beach. Restaurants- Malamatenia- nice setting off main streets in town in a little square. Nice selection of food and wine very reasonable. Taverna Michalis- just around corner from restaurant above. We weren’t that impressed with this one except people that had the mousaka said it was good. Bouibou
