Hammonds Park Guest House

Room was clean and functional if a little old fashioned. Bathroom had recently been updated. We stayed B&B and the breakfast was great with excellent service from the young waitress. Free parking is also a bonus. We thought it was excellent value for money.

I couldn’t find any fault with this guest house. My room on the ground floor was spacious, very clean and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and the shower powerful. The TV was small as others have commented but who goes on holiday to watch TV? The WiFi worked well all the time I was there. The young couple running the B&B were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent but there might be a slight delay for the “full English” as it is cooked to order and served at the table. There is the added bonus of ample parking for guests. Don’t expect a chain hotel but something that is homely, clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

People in other reviews described this hotel as dated, I would rather describe it as homely. We stayed in room 2 on the ground floor, plenty of space and storage . The room was immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable. What more could you want from a B&B? The cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful .The garden was a delight. Would definitely stay again

Spent 3 nights here. Comfortable room and very spacious. Friendly staff. As others have mentioned previously poor water pressure meant the shower was a small trickle of water. Tried running a bath but it took too long. Lovely view. The town centre is walkable from this guesthouse however I think the claim that it is only 10 minutes from the town centre is a little bit over optimistic. It’s 10 minutes to the North Beach but probably about 20 right into The town centre. It’s uphill on the way back which was fine for us but anyone with mobility issues would struggle with that hill and some guests were having to take taxis to and from the town. Breakfast was okay but there is a set time which means all the guests come down together and there was quite a long wait for a cooked breakfast. We waited half an hour then felt bad as the couple on the table next to us were still waiting and looking at our breakfast longingly. There was ham and cheese out but none of it was covered and since the weather was hot there were flies buzzing. The dining room is half conservatory and whilst 99% of the year this would be lovely it was uncomfortable as we were having a heatwave at the time. Generally though these are small ******* and overall had a great stay.

As mentioned already, it needs updating, its a bit 1970s decor wise, breakfast was fine, cooked to order. Shower pressure was poor. For an overnight stay it would be fine, any longer i think look elsewhere, depends what standard you want, we were only doing a stopover. The walk to the town centre takes 20 mins or so, i think the description on our booking site said 5 mins? Overall just needs afew ££££ spending, but if you are only sleeping there go for it. Nothing for kids here, they will be bored. Probably worth more the £60 all in not £85, as its just a bed, shower and breakfast. Please dont book for a special occasion.

A dated, but clean, old style B&B. It is VERY basic so you will get what you pay for. We didn't even have soap in the bathroom to wash our hands with let alone any other toiletries. We had to use the shower gel we'd brought with us to wash our hands. The breakfast is ok, but, I found it a bit oily (I don't eat meat, so mushrooms etc all cooked with fried egg). . I can't fault the service given though. I asked for them to put a bottle of wine in our room, (which isn't part of their standard service), but they did it for me and left us wine glasses - just no cork screw to open the bottle!!! The bed was very comfortable, but I don't think we'd return.

Stayed recently, overall very good. Nice sized room ,clean with everything you would want. Breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choice. Check in was easy and there is adequate parking. 6 minutes walk to beach high street.

Very helpful reception when we needed to amend our booking. Nice room, clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Car parking very good. No complaints. Would stay again. Tenby was beautiful, especially as we had sunshine.
