Telavi Inn

I stayed 1 night at this hotel, together with my wife during our trip to Georgia in June. The hotel is nice and clean, with an attractive pool at the core. We enjoyed especially having dinner at the 5th floor (a terrace) overlooking the surrounding mountains. The hotel is not far from the city center (about 800 m) which allowed us nice walks from the hotel. The room was comfortable but lacked sound insulation, which means that one could hear everything from the surrounding rooms, including the toilet flush… Other annoying “feature” is that it seems that in Georgia they have no concept of window shades (all the hotels we stayed at, including this one had no window shades, which means that one wakes up at 5:30 a.m. with the daylight). Apart from that, the environment around is rather quiet and the swimming pool is very good. One other thing that the hotel could improve: we understand that alcoholic and soft drinks should be paid. But not having a complementary bottle of water for the guests is not friendly at all.
