LaMalandrina is a wonderful apartment complex. We stayed 3 nights and we just wanted more! The apartment was very well stocked with necessities and all mechanical systems and WIFI worked well and the unit overall was spotless, clean and comfortable. The location is amazing, a short walk down the steps and you are in the very heart of the Taormina shopping/walking district. A supermarket was only a short walk away. Everyone at LaMalandrina were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this location. Worthy of note, there is no pool/outdoor lounge area, but we were there in the fall of 2023 and so there was no need for a pool or lounging in the sun. Also, there are no laundry facilities in the unit so If you want this please check if there are any options. Considering this is an "apartment" a washer really would have helped.

To add to the already amazing reviews, we need to chime in to say what a lovely place to stay! The apartment is decorated beautifully--everything is put together so that we felt at home, with a touch of elegance added into the picture. The sea view and the view of the moon were amazing. The location was perfect, close to the old town but kind of away from the tourist drag. Christian and Sarah, the staff were outstanding, as helpful and gracious as they could possibly have been. Can't recommend this place more highly!

We had a fantastic stay in the panoramic suite at La Malandrina for three nights in September. On arrival we were greeted by Christian who was incredibly helpful at explaining the layout of Taormina and helping us get the most from our visit. The hotel’s central location is perfect for exploring the key sights and is very close to the lively Corso Umberto with it’s plethora of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. Our suite was stylish, well equipped a good size for a short stay, the panoramic terrace was the best feature. Stunning views stretch far and wide over rooftops, across the coast and around to Etna, the terrace is a perfect breakfast and aperativo spot. The bed was firm and comfortable, I slept very well each night. The room was cleaned daily and complimentary Ortigia toiletries were provided throughout our stay. The kitchen area includes a coffee machine, fridge and other appliances, absolutely fine for preparing breakfast and light meals. It was a memorable few days and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of room and hotel.

I thoroughly searched for the perfect place to stay since we have 2 teenagers and stayed for almost a month. Incredible staff From the moment, I first contacted this hotel with my many questions until we checked out, the patience, service and warmth of Cristian and Sara was incredible! Crisitan even saved a special side trip I planned for my daughter’s birthday. He was always available! A special thank you to Crisitian for helping us out. Perfect location We stayed in the Green Palm apartment. It’s a few steps away from the main square but nestled in a tiny street so it’s quiet. There is a nearby supermarket and even a washeteria a few steps away. The washeteria offers self-service or pay a little extra and they will wash your clothes. They even delivered it to the hotel as a courtesy. Cleanliness – 5 star ++ experience! I am very picky about hotel cleanliness, and this hotel was spotless! Simona, the housekeeper, ensured that the apartment was perfect every day. Daily housekeeping was such a plus for us during our extended stay! Simona worked with such pleasure and from the heart. She became a friend. Furniture-Like one reviewer, this apartment is decorated to a high modern standard furnishing. Super high quality and new. I loved the feel of the apartment. Lastly, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of La Malandrina. He invited us to his beautiful lounge bar and was incredibly hospitable. Such a nice gesture! Bottom line – DO NOT hesitate! This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at with my family and we are experienced international travelers. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure the highest level of service.

This is perfectly located for Taormina. You are easy walking distance to the center and car park but just isolated enough for some tranquility. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. We had great communication prior to arrival as well. We had the apartment with Terrace (4) which is great as it has plenty of outside seating and views over Taormina and of Etna. The room was spotless and well equipped with a kitchen, cooker, fridge microwave, kettle and a pod coffee maker. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no parking on site (Same as nearly all accommodation here) so it's a 5 minute walk up slopes and stairs, from the car park which is about 17€ a night, but it is possible to drop luggage first. There is also no lift so the luggage will need to be carried up 2 flights. All of this was clear when we booked so no issue.

We drove to Taormina from Cefalu and parked in public parking outside of town - per recommendation by staff. Apartment was in a great location but we realized we overpacked when carrying our luggage up hills & stairs to access the front door. However the views and accommodations were worth it. Did not use their laundry facilities but went down the street & used the public laundromat which was fast & easy. Also close to the Deco grocery store. Easy walk to main part of town. Would definitely stay here again,

Really excellent apartment to stay in. Decorated to a high modern standard, furnishings, bed, shower all clean and cared for. Fruit and Prosecco in room and upgraded to a bigger room on arrival, this was a lovely surprise. Location is great, you can walk to everything in Taormina from here. We mainly ate out and just made breakfast and snacks in the apartment. It was perfect for this, cooking facilities were limit but I no plans to do any cooking on holiday! As this is an old building we occasionally we heard some noise from the apartment above but we soon got used to it. For this reason I think the apartments are better suited to couples rather than families with young children. We were out of the main tourist season and found the apartment very peaceful and quiet. Although there is a road outside it never bothered us, couldn’t hear any traffic. Concierge was very polite and helpful. Room was cleaned daily, fresh towels provided, toilet rolls and coffee pods topped up, beds made etc… this was excellent. We felt very well looked after and would highly recommend La Malandrina.
