Topper Motel

Only stay at this very nice small town motel (in the summer) if you arrive at early to late afternoon. We arrived at 9 pm and the room was 90-95 degrees inside with the window open. It wasn’t until 4 am that the room was finally below 72 degrees and we could sleep. The AC did not have a high mode. Only low.

I love staying there it is family owned and the husband and wife are awesome will stay there all the time while in Taft.

Check in was easy. The room was recently upgraded. Swimming pool and laundry on site.

The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The staff is so friendly and wants to make your stay a pleasant one. The motel is convenient with a great restaurant right next door. I will stay here again the next time I am in Taft!

Great little motel. I like it because you park right in front of your room. Off the main highway but worth the side trek. They have an ice maker and a pool. Have stayed one night twice and it is quiet and secure. Room has small coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable. A huge bonus is the attached Mexican restaurant La Salsa. No need to leave the property. Will be back.

An older motel but it was clean and quiet. The man at the front desk was nice. I would stay again.

I have stayed here several times over the past few years. I am remembered by the staff and treated very well.

We went to see the wildflowers around Soda Lake, but due to hotter-than-usual weather that caused the blooms to fade early, we were unable to see them; nevertheless, we spent a clean, quiet, and comfortable night there.

Parking was easy and secure. Really friendly Mexican restaurant adjacent to the hotel in a nice pool.
