Carnegie Court Hotel

Great hotel, fab location for family event or a few bevvies. Rooms need some modernisation but the function room is spectacular. Rooms could benefit from a deep cleaning, removing chewing gum from inside the bedside lamp and removing dead spiders would make a difference. Also for the price of the room, breakfast should be included.

Travelled from Larne on route to Dublin travelling to the airport. Staff couldn’t do enough to help us and made it feel like a home from home. Would highly recommend as located close to airport - get choice of food. Pints in bar were one of the best I’ve had - will def be back

Checked into the Carnegie Court for an impromptu girls weekend away. We arrived earlier than expected so enjoyed a fabulous cocktail in the Harp Bar before checking in! Room was fantastic! More than enough room for the girls to get ready before a night on the town! Reception staff were total dolls booking us a taxi into the town! There was a fablous selection for breakfast the next morning, even suited my very fussy vegetarian super healthy friend! We drove into the city for shopping and when we came back decided to have a few drinks, the bar staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We decided to have dinner in the hotel rather than head into town. We booked into the Courtyard Restaurant, the food was unreal! We were so stuffed we were gonna pass on desert until the waiter made a personal recommendation which was absolutely superb! Can’t wait to go back again! Totally revitalised after that weekend away! Great location, great atmosphere, great staff!

Bad Points. We had the misfortune of being put in a room that badly needed updating, room 105. Taps loose, sealant on taps failed, rotten tatty old towels (which smelled of cooked food), rotten timbers around bath, cold and drafty, poor heating with no controls, only cleaned once in 3 days. Even when the room was cleaned it wasn't great, I had to ask the cleaner to replenish items in the bathroom and in fact ended up taking them off the trolley that was in the corridor. we kept the curtains closed to keep the cold draft from the windows at bay, we put one of the bed throws against the door to stop drafts from there. I understand that the covid situation has delayed things getting done but a room like this should not be let in it's current state. There are updates going on in the hotel but this room was so bad! I wrote and complained on our return, to no avail mostly, the Hotel Manager does not seem to want to resolve anything except for a hollow offer of a discounted rate on newly refurbished room for one night. Given that we spent 500.00, this was a meaningless response. The room certainly is not what is advertised on their website, in other words the website is misleading prospective occupants into believing they would be staying in a lovely room, which this was not, by any means. The room had an iron and board, from the 1960's probably. Good Points. We were there for a wedding for the weekend, food at the wedding was great, service was great at the wedding too. The breakfasts in the hotel are very good and the staff were very good too. Function room and dance floor are really good. Drinks very expensive though. The Manager ( I will not name him here) has chosen not to respond to my further emails and requests details nor a decent offer or partial reimbursement. Initially there was a short but ineffective response, no doubt a generic response sent to all and sundry.

Awful… “security” on a weekend night stated”needed a reservation at 7pm for “drinks only”… as per door staff rules you have to book a drink!!! ***…. My wife and I were denied entry at the front door due to no booking as it was “fully booked”… What nonsense.. so my wife and I walked into the premises at the top door… it’s a great location and has great bar staff…… I hope k67 are not paying for the privilege as their door staff are costing them money and patronage…

Shíofra was genuinely amazing as she made sure my allergies were catered to and made sure that everything was perfect for me to eat. Would definitely recommend her as a waitress to anyone. She made me feel good about eating out as allergies arent always catered to at events such as debs. Thank you so much once again.

No parking for disabled users 🙄 food in bar was lovely staff very helpful 😀 bur found it hard finding parking there were picnic bench in spot were parking was had to find parking outside on main street why

We decided to try the newly reopened carvery for a Sunday lunch. The food was good and reasonably priced. However we also had our customary one bottle of sparkling water with a dash of lime cordial in two glasses and when I went to pay for this the bar lady said it was €7 !!!! Apparently this bar charges €2 per shot for cordials ( normally free) . Given that the retail price of a litre of Lime cordial is €3.37 in a supermarket I think this is putting the value of lime cordial at around €40 . Gross overcharging and annoying

I was with a large group in the function room. It was a great night but bar staff were very slow and spilled drinks when putting them on the counter. On a very positive note they cater extremely well for allergies. I informed them of my peanut allergy when booking. When it came to the time to get our finger food there was a plate set aside for me. All my food was cooked separately and they made me feel so safe.
