We had to book a couple nights in PEI on short notice based on a last minute event. This motel was dog friendly and the only place that had availability for two consecutive nights. The property was for sale a few years ago when my s/o stayed here for work, and it has recently been sold. Renovations are in progress and there was debris in the yard (shelving unit, random cutlery, mattresses) . Rooms are being painted and fixed up. The answering machine still has a greeting from the previous owner stating they are only doing long term rentals due to COVID. There are a number of people living there full time. Very quiet spot. Fox from across the street comes to visit. There is no management or staff on site overnight but they will give you a number to call. Our group consisted of four of us and four dogs, so we were given a cabin and a double queen room. Both were very clean. Both bathrooms had broken toilet seats, so I do recommend asking for a room with a toilet seat that isn't broken. AC is available in some rooms, but not the cottages. The AC worked great in the hotel room Wifi doesn't work in the cottages but they do advise you of this both at check in and in writing. I had some work to do online so I simply sat outside the main building to complete the work. There is hotel bar soap in the bathroom but be sure to bring shampoo and other toiletries. Fridge and stove were very clean. I recommend bringing cutlery as there was one fork. There's a sponge and dish soap there. Bring a tea towel if you want to dry the dishes. I left them in the rack as i found them. Nice grounds. Old school playground from the 70s made me wish i had littles to play there :).
