Seacroft Estate

Location is ok for a stop over, but there is nothing around the property for several kilo meters. So u must get take outs if u are planning to stay. Also, there is no coffee in the kitchen (There is a machine in a shed), no room service, no vending machines or food, and no interaction with the people who manage the property of any kind. Also, no wifi so you must use your data wisely if you are travelling. The room was a makeshift sort of a thing just enough to fit a bed. The bedding were dirty and infested. we ended up wearing our jackets and trousers to sleep in the cold. The toilets are shared no matter what room you book and is unisex so you might wanna consider waiting times and awkwardness in the toilet with other strangers. We paid a lot for it as it was around Chris**as time, however I would advise anything more than 50$ is a rip off for this property. Might be suitable for backpackers on the roads, but families should avoid it. If its on your way to somewhere, i would recommend a photo stop over.

小木屋非常驚艷，景色很好，海景房。我們是晚上到的，剛進去的時候還覺得有點失望，小屋很小，公共衞浴，第二天早上起床拉開窗簾就被驚艷到了，大片的草坪還有小花，遠方藍色的海，牛和羊駝在悠閑吃草，特別好看，下次還會再來！！

The property location was a stunning setting. However, lack of signage showing where you were allowed to park, where the kitchen was and the names of the areas in the peoperty were very lacking. A bath mat would have been nice or even a mop so we could at least clean up after we had a shower. This is more of a hostel setting and whilst it is not the owners fault, the night we stayed, guests arrived very late and proceeded to be very noisy not respecting other guests sleeping. Being an old building, the walls are very thin and the noise travels even when conversing inside your room. Apart from all this, the peoperty is in a stunning location with great views, however it lacks personal communication and requires a bit of care.

The view from my room was wonderfull, and the property is located conveniently between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Unfortunately, that is where the good things end. The treehouse room that I stayed in was a windowless box barely large enough to fit a double bed - which wasn’t the end of the world considering the large communal areas. But the room was stiflingly hot with the door closed, and leaving the door open resulted in hundreds of mosquitoes filling the room. I wound up leaving the room at midnight to sleep on the couch in the common room. I would definitely not recommend spending $200 if there are any other available rooms.

This is a youth hostel being presented as a hotel. The room had no bathroom, no A/C, not even a fan. No TV, no Wifi. At $250 AUD per night, it is appalling value. It's backpacker accommodation, if it was $75 a night and clearly advertised as a hostel, it would be fine. It's a shame because it's a beautiful location on the Great Ocean Road, but the actual accommodation provided was a joke. Strongly recommend against staying here.

For the price paid, I expect more than a Hostel experience of shared facilities. Kitchen area is great. Toilet/shower block is a refrigerated portable and water can not be used by two people at once. I could not get hot water to shower while someone else was showering. The room was dirty with cobwebs around windows, doors and the light on the ceiling. It also wasn’t big enough to swing a cat in! Pre-information for access to room and facilities was good, but no mention about parking which made knowing where to park confusing when the stone area was completely full. You had to find a map to see what areas could be parked in, which included a grass area that had no signage. I would happily stay here if it was a cheap hostel comparative price (no more than $100), but not for anything more than that!

This was once a monastery so the bedrooms are small, but the communal areas are spacious. Sea views from the sunroom. A well stocked kitchen. A very peaceful location. Shared bathrooms which are multigender. No TV. A good place for groups. Child friendly. Good communication.

Very basic accommodation but in an outstanding location with great views. Amenities and room are bare basics but did the job.

My room had two single beds; a painted wooden chair; a very small electric heater; a single overhead light bulb and two small plastic bedside lamps and nothing else. On my journey from Adelaide I had stayed in two motels prior to Seacroft which were about half the price of Seacroft. They both had an in room toilet and shower; refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster, microwave and basic crockery. Seacroft with its shared bathroom/toilet facilities and communal kitchen would best suit a student group or a religious faith retreat. In my opinion it is not suitable for national and international travellers.
