Enkele onaangename ervaringen halen de score naar beneden, ik oordeelde wel op niveau van het niveau wat het hotel aangeeft te hebben (en aanrekent). Onthaal was absoluut naar verwachting voor dit type Grand Hotel, niets op aan te merken. Gedienstig spontaan hulp aangeboden om bagage naar kamer te brengen. Onder het hotel is een super ruime parking waar het hotel enkele zones gereserveerd heeft. We konden net aan de lift staan, voelde als kamer binnenrijden… top. Kamer zelf was zeer sfeervol en meer dan ruim genoeg, efkes geschoven met losse « Sinterklaaszetel » en alles geregeld. Koffie capsules lagen klaar, we vroegen de receptie om ook thee te krijgen voor mijn echtgenote (geen discriminatie op basis van drank nietwaar). « Geen probleem, logische vraag, we zorgen er meteen voor, welke smaken hadden jullie graag gewenst? ». En inderdaad: kannetje thee gebracht … « Dat is dan 6,5 voor de thee en 5 voor de service ». Vind ik schandalig in dergelijke accommodatie, bij andere vergelijkbare hotels, ook in Covid-periode, ligt dat standaard bij de koffie of brengt men meteen een waterkoker en enkele zakjes. Bij de afrekening kregen we hiervoor ter compensatie 2 flesjes water, bon… Badkamer vonden we klein maar ok behoudens enkele ambetante ongemakken: WC stond veel te laag, also me sinds jaren 80 (aan vergeelde duwplaat te zien) reeds 3 keer tegel op tegel verlijmd heeft. Als ik moest zitten, stootte mijn knie tegen de regelknop van radiator en naast de lavabos was er super weinig plaats om handdoekjes te drogen. Grappig was de inrichtingstwist om de geprofileerde plafondlijst te stoppen waar het bad begon. Spijtig was dat er geen verluchting lijkt te zijn. Het gebruik van de WiFi was zeker dergelijk hotel niet waardig: dat haperde, sloot af-en-aan voor 2 dagen lang … en ik moest onder dergelijke omstandigheden professioneel aan enkele zaken werken, waaronder biedingen op veilingen… zwaar ontgoocheld. Bij de afrekening kregen we ter compensatie 1 nacht gratis parkeren, bon… Ontbijt was dan weer véél méér dan ok, eitjes op bestelling is een grote meerwaarde, absoluut vriendelijke en attente staff. Aangenaam. Een aanrader is zeker ook het terras waar je kiest tussen lounge-zetels of bistro-tafeltjes in aangename setting waar een waterpartij de scheiding met het park vormt. Ook hier attente bediening, met een kleine honger vroegen we 1 seksartikelen-salad met 2 couverts: geen probleem, de portie werd meteen in keuken over 2 bowls verdeeld. We willen hier graag terugkomen, maar liefst met opgelost WiFi (de thee lossen we zelf op).

At 19:30 this evening 15th March we both + our grand daughter came back to the hotel ,we asked the rude women about which restaurant is open in the hotel for dinner ,we got ugly answers ,not polite at all !1111She even told us to go out from the hotel,but she didn’t know that we are staying here in a very wonderful suite !1111 We went to eat in the Graff zeppelin hotel because of her, we are waiting to get apologise, we can’t believe that in a LHW is working such a woman.

Our 5th stay at the Stuttgart Althoff. Love it for its close proximity to both the train station, the park and the shopping street! We had a great room with a super view and balcony! The service is always spectacular! Love their coffee! The restaurant has the most delectable array of cakes and pastries! Even their ice creams are delicious!

I just came back from a stay at the Hotel Althoff in Stuttgart. The location is excellent if you want to be close to the main train station and the shopping area. I had been to the rival hotel Steigenberger before and the Althoff is slightly better as it is next to the park. The staff was friendly, although I had a room maid knock at my door at 7:30 am to ask for housekeeping (I guess she wanted to get going with her work - better planning from hotel management with cross check on check out in the system would help). The room was poor. Small, antiquated heating with radiators. Room temperature could only e controlled by keeping the window open. Bed duvets and pillows were poor and the bed quality was also at the lower end of the spectrum. The bathroom was tiny - more like in a budget hotel. Covid rules were according to German government rules (3G, check of certificate at both check in and bar). The breakfast was good, but nothing spectacular or special. The service was good. Same as the Steigenberger. Overall a bit antiquated - the Althoff seems to be stuck in the 70/80ies and must have received the last modernization at that time. Its main competitor the Steigenberger is the same. I hope that when Stuttgart 21 will be finished the hotels will also invest in a more modern look and feel, better and rooms and more comfortable beds. Value for money: The Steigenberger is slightly cheaper and I don't think the rating in Tripadvisor is reflective of the overall quality of the hotel.

The hotel, lobby and our room were very nice and the staff was very accomodating. The location is excellent near the train station and between the park and pedestrian shopping. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

booked for 2 nights & extended for the third. Location is fantastic, next to the centre and the park. Nice and safe place, very friendly & helpful staff allover the hotel (reception, room service) Parking on site and easy access. Room size is very good and clean bit uncomfy beds but was fine bathroom was good needs a gym to be honest but overall is top notch

We had a lovely stay at the Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten. The staff without exception are friendly and couldn't do more for you. The menu at present is limited but this is totally understandable and there was something there for everyone. The breakfast on the terrace facing the Schlossgarten was just the most relaxing start to the day....again helped by particularly lovely staff. The Air Con worked well, keeping the room a very comfortable temperature.

Von aussen gefällt das otel überhaupt nicht, und auch die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen Das Frühstück war aber durchaus abwechslungsreich, der Speisesaal strahlte Stil aus, und der Service war wirklich hervorragend.

Ich konnte mit meiner Frau ein wunderbares Wochenende im Hotel am Schlossgarten verbringen. Unser Zimmer hatte einen herrlichen Blick in den Schlossgarten und auf den Bahnhof und war stilvoll ausgestattet. Im ganzen Hotel findet man kleine Details, die die Aufmerksamkeit der Gäste anzieht, wie z.b. die Uhr in schwäbischer Sprache in der Lobby Das Essen beim Frühstück auf der herrlichen Terrasse und im Café waren ausgezeichnet. Das Team war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat uns vollständig umsorgt. Es ist eine Freude, Mitarbeiter zu sehen, die mit Leidenschaft ihren Beruf ausüben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Vielen Dank an die netten Kollegen am Empfang und in den Restaurants, besonders Hr Ibrahimi aus dem Café und Frau Henning im Frühstücksraum.
