Risby Cove Boutique Hotel

Ok so the weather was not so great but hey you are on the West Coast so expectations must be kept quite low. Arrived at an amazing feel or relaxation but prestige at the same time. We arrived at night unattended office and called the number and wham Jas suddenly appeared. Jasmine was amazing took us to our room and ensured we knew where everything was, how to operate everything and a cheese platter and bubbly did not go un-noticed. Jasmine ensured that our booking for Dinner and Breakfast the next day was sorted and planned in accordance with our travel plans. Dinner was amazing the food the ambience and the service. We did see a dessert experience where the flambe did fire a little too much but Justine was on the case and had some fun sorting that out ( was nice to see some real grounded s#$t happens vibe). Another night there would have been preferred but there is always next time. New Chef was 3 weeks in and Mushroom Gnocchi was amaze balls.....food coma was arriving quickly. Thanks for an amazing experience, we will be back.

We stayed 4 nights in the Sawmill Cove Pavilion, and it was ideal. Sebastian greeted us on arrival and provided a delicious Cheese Platter with a lovely Rosé. The vista from our room looking out to the tranquil waters of Macquarie Harbour was glorious. The Bathroom’s floor heating was a bonus. And something I really appreciate - no TV in the restaurant, instead nice gentle piped music. All the staff we interacted with were professional and friendly. WOW Factor - Overlooking Macquarie Harbour, Strahan, Tasmania; from our private verandah at Risby Cove is one of the most pristine places on earth. Enjoying our complimentary wine and cheeseboard, my husband and I agreed that our stay at Risby Cove Boutique Hotel was of those precious times in life when you allow yourself to indulge, surrender the rush, and settle into quiet respite. We arrived as weary, rain-drenched travelers, and surrendered ourselves into the care of our hosts, who made us feel special and valued. Our spacious, elegant room — complete with fireplace and a bath for two — felt a well deserved treat and deeply restorative, bringing us an immediate sense of calm after a number of days on the road. Even the food was amazing. The à la carte menu celebrates local seafood and paddock-to-plate produce, prepared with care and flair. I recommend the hot/cold seafood tower. Included in the price, is a scrumptious continental breakfast accompanied by excellent barista coffee — the perfect energising start to the day. The whole experience was a gentle reminder us to take the time to simply breathe and live in the moment. Thanks Sebastian and Jacinta – simply unforgettable experience.

Simply outstanding quality in every way. Impeccably appointed room inclusive of a private spa, next level food, thoughtful service available 24/7 and a view to savour long after your departure. The Manager Sebastian could not have been more accommodating.

I have never ever stayed at such a beautiful place. The staff were so nice and so lovely made us feel so welcome and the food was amazing. I will be definitely staying there again. Thankyou for making our weekend so special.

We stayed here just for one night and were blown away by the hospitality shown by Sebastian and his team. We stayed in the Marina Suite and were welcomed with drinks and a cheese board. The room was gorgeous, the fireplace was amazing and the bathroom even had heated floors! The view from our room across the harbour was beautiful. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Our only disappointment was we only booked one night. We will definitely be back and next time for longer!

Please disregard the negative reviews, which were all made before the new ownership and recent renovations were completed. We had a wonderful stay at Risby Cove. The location is absolutely stunning, right on the waterfront with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made our stay feel extra special. We stayed in the Marina Suite (well worth the money) which overlooked the harbour, with seating on the balcony which allowed us to enjoy a glass of local wine whilst watching the sunset. I loved the two sided fireplace and generously sized bathroom which also included a full sized bath - luxury when you're travelling! Special shout out to Jas who was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, including offering tips on recommended stops for our drive across to the east coast (The Wall at Derwent Bridge is a must). Breakfast was delicious, and the on-site restaurant was excellent with fresh local produce and a great menu. We found Risby Cove to be a relaxing and memorable experience — highly recommended for anyone visiting Strahan. We will definitely be back.

Jacinta and Sebastian are running a very good show at Risby Cove. The accommodation is luxurious, spacious and well appointed. The restaurant is excellent - I had dinner both nights there and every meal was excellent. We had a work function at the venue and I would recommend that to others too. Staff very attentive. I thoroughly recommend.

This is a gem of a boutique hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The views from our harbor room were stunning. Huge bonus that there is a five-star restaurant right on the property. Highly recommend.
