Arctic Panorama Lodge

The best hotelexperience I ever had: The hotel, the hosts, the surroundings.. I will surely return!!! The hosts really made us feel at home. The food, which is Nort-Norwegian costumary food, made of mostly local ingredients was fantastisc. The SPA experience one of the best I ever had. We altso went hiking around the northern part of the island, with paths and wievs that really gives you energy. I really recommend this place! Altså the trip from Tromsø with 3 ferrytrips and fantastic wievs of the Lyngenalps can really be recommended.

This is an amazing place, so peaceful, views from room & Lodge great, food exceptional ( we had breakfast & dinner). Svein & Aud made us very welcome. Despite the unseasonable weather we saw the Northern Lights three out of the four nights we were there. Cabin rooms were spacious, comfortable & the bathroom facilities good. Daily check if room needed cleaning etc. if you wish too book the activities choice & the spa are fine. We opted for a restful time which was greatly enjoyed. Meals all severed at one table and we were very fortunate with the other guests, which made the break even better. Strongly recommend this Lodge.

Beyond our expectations. Didn't know what to expect being way north if the arctic circle. Found luxury, nature, warm hospitality and spectacular scenery all around us. The picture of the dining room only gives you a glimpse of the amazingly, beautiful scenery as you look at snow covered peaks around the fjord. Felt welcomed into their home. Our hosts attended quietly to every detail to make our stay what worked for us. Hospitality was genuine. Created special boat trip which worked for us. Brought along hot juice to warm our hands, as well as to enjoy. Great hikes, wildlife. Saw reindeer, minke whales, and variety of birds. Rooms are beautifully appointed, as well as functional. View from each room across the fjord. Wonderful home cooked meals. Highlight of our three week trip to Norway. We will go again.

We can't remember ever having eaten so badly. Four days in a row the food was poor and distasteful. The wife of the house was responsible but did not show any interest to the guests at all. Price quality far out of line.

Beautiful place! clean and tidy rooms, high standard overall and very good food! The spa was excellent and the owners and the workers offer an outstanding service! if you want to visit a lodge in northern norway this is the place to visit!

We stayed three days at Artic Panorama Lodge. As we arrived Christmas Eve we were picked up by our host Svein personally by boat. We will never forget the marvellous experience we had. The kitchen was superb, including local specialities such as lingelberry sauce or elk. Similarly the food was haven for all tastes and preferences, including vegan. We stayed in a cabin and had a wonderful view to the fjord and lake. The rooms were clean, cozy, and large. The staff and owner of the Lodge always made us feel welcomed by sharing their local knowledge and stories about living near the artic. It was due to them that we had a wonderful Christmas. Also, we went on a whale-watching trip where the effort to spot whales was rewarded. In addition to activties, there is always chances to rest, e.g. with a outside jaccuzi, the sauna, or massage treatments. We will forever remain grateful to Artic Panorama Lodge, which is a haven for all wildlife enthusiasts. Thank you Svein, familiy, and staff. Im Sommer 2021 waren wir auf unserer Route durch Norwegen und Lappland bereits einmal in der Panorama Lodge. Wir waren von den netten Gastgebern, der unglaublich schönen Lage, dem gepflegten und stilvoll eingerichteten Haus, vor allem aber von unserem Superoir Zimmer mit Panoramablick auf den Fjord so begeistert, dass wir schon vor Ort beschlossen, unseren Hochzeitstag im Jänner des Folgejahres dort zu verbringen. Wir buchten also noch im August 2022 ein Package mit dem Superior Zimmer und jeder Menge Outdoor Aktivitäten. Die Vorfreude war groß! Als wir allerdings am vereinbarten Tag anreisten, stellte sich heraus, dass unser Zimmer nicht für uns zur Verfügung stand. Damit war die Idee, bei in dieser Gegend häufig vorkommendem schlechten Wetter, es uns in unserem schönen Zimmer gemütlich zumachen, zunichte gemacht. Ein angeblicher "Computerfehler" hatte verursacht, dass unsere Buchung verloren gegangen war. Alle Versuche, eine für uns akzeptable Lösung zu finden, wurden mit "sorry"und Achselzucken vom Tisch gewischt. Die Argumentation der Chefin, das große Zimmer bringe uns ohnehin nichts, weil es ja die ganze Zeit finster ist und es nichts zu sehen gibt, war ein glatter Widerspruch zur Werbung für das Zimmer und nebenbei auch falsch, denn es gab natürlich viel zu sehen. Auch die Ansage einer der Angestellten, wir könnten uns ja draußen ein Schneehaus bauen, war in diesem Moment weder lustig noch hilfreich. Wir wurden also in ein Doppelzimmer verfrachtet, das weder Ausblick noch komfortablen Platz bot. Da Uløya eine Insel ist, die drei Autostunden und eine Fährfahrt von Tromsø entfernt liegt, konnten wir in diesem Moment auch nicht einfach wieder abreisen. Fehler können passieren. Svein hätte dazu stehen und richtig damit umgehen sollen. Etwa nach dem einfachen Prinzip: Wer zuerst kommt wird zuerst bedient. Wir hatten sicher früher als alle anderen gebucht. Abgesehen vom geschäftlichen Aspekt wurden wir vor allem menschlich maßlos enttäuscht. Wir kamen als Freunde wieder und wurden wie ungebetene Gäste behandelt. Auch der gewährte Preisnachlass von 60% tröstet nicht über unsere bisher größte Reiseenttäuschung hinweg. Die Tränen meiner Frau an unserem Hochzeitstag können mit Geld nicht kompensiert werden!
