酒店極好，豪華的古代建築。房間超大，富麗的古典裝飾。位置不錯，是石頭城的地標酒店之一。建築漂亮，設施齊備餐廳最佳。

Monumentaal hotel op een ideale plek in Stone Town. Alles ligt op de loopafstand en de bootjes voor de excursies naar bijvoorbeeld Prison Island praktisch voor de deur. Onze huurauto konden we voor de deur achter een stalen ketting parkeren. De check-in ging vlot en de koffers worden naar de kamers gebracht. Er is een lift in het gebouw maar we kregen de indruk dat deze alleen voor het personeel bedoeld was. Kamers met airco zijn sfeervol ingericht maar relatief basic. Het te zachte en krakende bed vergeten we voor de vorm even. In vergelijking tot de slaapkamer was de badkamer echt groot. Met name het bad/douche trok de aandacht qua omvang. Ontbijt in buffet vorm was prima met van alles behalve broodbeleg. Fantastisch om met front row uitzicht op de zee en main street te ontbijten. De dag ervoor hebben we op de rooftop geluncht. Ook dit was een mooie ervaring met overigens lekker eten voor een redelijke prijs en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Op dag uit-check konden we de koffers nog de volledige dag stallen in de luggage room. Prijs / kwaliteit van het hotel als totaal is meer dan goed! We zouden het zonder twijfel zo weer boeken.

Prachtig hotel met mooie details, een groot verschil met andere gebouwen in de stad. Het zwembad ligt ideaal en daarnaast is er voldoende zitgelegenheid en een pooltafel. Het water is erg schoon, dit zagen we niet veel in Tanzania. De kamer was voor ons perfect, met een aparte kamer voor de kinderen, een groot balkon en goede airco en koelkast. Enige nadeel is dat je behalve bij het ontbijt niets te eten of drinken kunt kopen. De medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Als we nog eens naar Zanzibar gaan, kom ik hier graag terug!

Beautiful hotel overlooking the ocean. The room was huge and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was really good, the best we had on our holiday! We used the pool which was also welcome relief from the hot streets. Easy to find and very close to the streets and restaurants

I regret to report that our stay at the Mizingani Seafront Hotel in February 2024 was extremely disappointing. The rooms were outdated and lacked proper amenities such as functioning air conditioning and safety deposit boxes. Even the presidential suite was not exempt from these issues. Additionally, the rooms were poorly lit, and the traditional showers left pools of water on the floor, creating a safety hazard. In one of the rooms, we even encountered cockroaches, which was unacceptable. The condition of the pool was equally disappointing, with a film covering its surface and broken, jagged tiles. Despite raising these concerns with the management, their response was unhelpful and unsympathetic. However, it's worth mentioning that the staff themselves were kind, helpful, and did their best to assist us within their limitations. Overall, our experience was so unsatisfactory that we decided to check out early (the 3 rooms and lost 1-night stay $$$). I would advise against staying at the Mizingani Seafront Hotel. Bad restaurant experience. I was not a guest at this hotel, but ate lunch at the restaurant. The Tandoori chicken and seafood curry can only be described as below average. We were served by two waiters. The first one was friendly and professional. The second one (wearing an orange tunic) was rude and arrogant. He pointed with his finger towards a glass on my table and basically instructed me to use that glass for the second drink I ordered. The only reason I ordered a second drink at this place is because it was the driest Tandoori chicken I have ever had. When we pointed out to him that he forgot to add that drink to our bill, he gave us attitude about that as well. This is the worst experience I have had in Zanzibar/Stone Town.

Really excellent stay. We were there 7 years ago and had the same room. Yes, it could use a bit of an update but it also stays within the authenticity of the hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean and maintained. The location is perfect (for us). The breakfasts were truly wonderful and delicious. Huge variety, freshness of products was exemplary (as the couple of lunches we ate there as well). But the cherry on the cake was the staff. Each and every one could not do enough for us and were so helpful and full of good humour and kindness. Thank you. We are looking forward to returning soon and well before 7 years!
