Great location, fantastic views, great food. The person at the reception was nice and changed our room to a higher floor. (Wish the balcony was a little larger. ) Would like to especially thank Diana who is not only a lovely, friendly person, she was smiley, helpful and very welcoming. She helped my friend with first aid when he cut his finger. Also, she is a climber and has climbed Mt. Kazbeg which is over 5000 metres! Thank you Diana!

The dining room and terrace of the hotel is breathtaking by having wide views of mountains. Staff at reception are great: always polite and smiling. Rooms and other areas seem stylish in design but there are some problems. First: lack of sound isolation is disturbing. We woke up a lot of times in the night by noises coming from corridor and the other rooms. Second: room design is not functional. There are only two plugs in the room, and their places are very odd, like behind the beds.. etc. Even the bedside lamps and TV are left unplugged because all of them can not be plugged at the same time. The situation becomes more complicated when you want to charge your phones.

Someone has clearly spent a lot of time, energy and money creating a small hotel with a really nice interior design. Having done the hard work, the overall experience was let down by the simpler things. The manager (owner?) seemed completely disinterested, never a smile. It was like we were an inconvenience that he was barely tolerating. The food was fine but it was really expensive by Georgian standards. Another night we ate round the corner at Rooms Hotel. Now that is a stunning property and its perfectly fair that it is rather more expensive to stay there. But we ate there as non-guests and the food was markedly better and cheaper than Alpine Lounge. Even a coffee was cheaper there than at AL. I would suggest that if you don't want to walk into town you simply eat at Rooms each night and don't bother with AL. The breakfast at AL was good the first day, then the 2nd day maybe they had fewer guests so the buffet was gone and instead we had a smaller selection on our table. Was it our fault that they didn't have more guests?! Maybe too many people had read reviews like this and gone elsewhere?

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. My friends and I booked two rooms for a one night during Covid-19 pandemic. Staff didn't wear masks at all- this was the first big disappointment. We asked wearing masks and the manager answered that, some people had Asthma, some of them were vaccinated and they didn’t need masks. I explained that we were vaccinated too and wearing of the masks was mandatory. Room was averagely clean, smell in the bathroom, linens ok. Room was too tiny, it didn't have wardrobe, we had to put our things on the floor. Heat system didn’t work, we were in a cold room, nobody helped us. Staff was very aggressive, when we wanted ordering dishes at 20:30, they refused because of regulations, but important was that the responses we received were rude and disrespectful. Waitress asked manager about our order and we heard his cynical words, that we could go to supermarket and buy bread and sausages and eat in the room…They didn’t have lobby or any other space for resting after 10:00 PM. We had to sit in the rooms after 10:00PM. Hotel has all the promises of being 4 stars, but in reality 2 star is more for them. Horrible service, staying isn’t safe during pandemic, tiny rooms without wardrobes, poor breakfast-not recommended. Will never go back.
