An Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy. Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home. This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date. After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel. It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us. Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference. Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for. As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out. They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise. Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can. Over het algemeen is het prima, maar het is wel een beetje ver van het centrum, hoewel de verbindingen goed zijn. Het echte nadeel is dat de verbindingen tot aan de top van de heuvel waar het zich bevindt, erg slecht zijn. Wat betreft de service en de netheid was het vrij gemiddeld. Het ontbijt was vrij eenvoudig en had veel meer variatie nodig.

Service from staff was excellent. We were always glad our room was clean and had fresh towels daily. Breakfast choices were also awesome. Two things I’m not 100% glad with was the absence of AC in the room which was uncomfortable at night even with 2 windows open. We came first week of April and it was hot. Also the start of breakfast could be earlier like 6am as we had to leave the hotel for activities around 6am in some days of our stay. But overall I still would say this is a great hotel especially for the location.

We stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options. The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find. Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

Super tolle Lage! Etwas schwer mit Tür öffnen und Internet aber es geht 

Eerlijk gezegd is mijn ervaring dat dit hotel een beetje lager is dan een hotel van hetzelfde niveau. De matras in dit hotel is niet slecht. Maar helaas zal het matras het enige punt zijn waar ik tevreden mee ben. De service is normaal, maar het onderhoud van hun apparatuur is zorgwekkend. Er zijn verschillende lampen in mijn kamer en de douchedeur in de badkamer lijkt moeilijk te duwen. Het belangrijkste is dat de airconditioning in de kamer niet krachtig genoeg is, wat een vreselijke informatie is voor toeristen in deze zomer. De foto bij deze opmerking is buiten de omgeving. Het is misschien niet duidelijk genoeg, maar ik moet zeggen dat het buiten te donker is. Maar het is geen luxe hotel in het stadscentrum. Daarom is het nog steeds acceptabel. Dit hotel is over het algemeen goed, maar er zijn nog steeds grote ruimtes waar het hotel naartoe kan gaan om de klanttevredenheid te vergroten.

Ik maak deel uit van een groep die dit hotel heeft geboekt en ik heb dit hotel gekozen vanwege de nabijheid van station Termini, omdat het erg handig is om met de hele groep rond te reizen, de service van het personeel is zeer professioneel, maar het pijnlijke punt is dat het hotel erg gedateerd is en er een onaangename geur door de gang hing en om deze geur te laten verdwijnen was er een even sterke deodorant waar ik hoofdpijn van kreeg. Een ander probleem is dat er geen raam in de badkamer is en om op het toilet te zitten moet je acrobatiek doen en het is erg smal.

酒店整體還算乾淨，環境也不錯！ 但是非常不好找！ 沒有前台，衹有一個WhatsApp 賬號，但是衹有固定時間段內才有回覆！也沒有什麼指引！ 雖然地理位置上羅馬一個地鐵站附近，很方便！但是這個是價格還是偏貴了🙁不划算！

Tot Rome reizen, werd deze onverwachte reservering van de juiste, buitengewone waarde. Niet meer dan een kilometer van de metro, het hotel is naast een rustige wijk op een hoogte, zeer rustig en er loopt iemand de ochtend. Het vervoer is handig, de lichte bus in de buurt is goed, de sleutel is het bijzonder rijke ontbijt. Naast het metrostation is er een Chinese restaurant met een Wenzhou-bewoner. Soms kan je de rijtjes aanpassen, niet duur en ook de tunnels. Ga uit om een dag te spelen met kopieën, bagage opslaan van het hotel, de service is ook goed. De volgende keer is het de eerste keuze.
