"De hotelervaring was uitstekend en de algehele service was bevredigend. Ten eerste is de locatie van het hotel zeer gunstig, dicht bij het stadscentrum, met talloze restaurants en winkels in de buurt, en ook het openbaar vervoer is zeer goed geregeld. De kamer was ruim en licht, met een eenvoudige, moderne inrichting. Het bed was extreem comfortabel, wat zorgde voor een heerlijke nachtrust. De badkamer was schoon en netjes, en de toiletartikelen waren van hoge kwaliteit, wat zorgde voor een zeer ontspannen verblijf.
Wat de service betreft, het hotelpersoneel was buitengewoon vriendelijk en professioneel. Het in- en uitchecken verliep soepel, en het personeel bij de receptie was hartelijk, attent en altijd bereid om te helpen. De kamer was brandschoon en de badkamer was voorzien van desinfecterende doekjes op alcoholbasis, een echt attent gebaar. De lobby heeft een grote zithoek, die 24 uur per dag geopend is, wat erg prettig is.
Al met al was dit een zeer aangenaam verblijf. Het hotel overtrof de verwachtingen in alle opzichten en biedt een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Ik kan het van harte aanbevelen."

Omdat we haast hadden om de hogesnelheidstrein te halen, ontbeten we aanvankelijk om 7.30 uur, maar we spraken af om om 7.00 uur al te ontbijten, dat was echt lekker! De jongens en schoonheden in het hotel zijn erg aardig, hebben een geweldige instelling en behandelen alles met vriendelijkheid! Mijn vader liet de datakabel achter in het hotel, en mijn broertje bleef helpen hem keer op keer te vinden, bevestigde hem keer op keer, en hielp me zelfs met het opsturen ervan nadat hij hem gevonden had! Wat een geweldig hotel! Ik zal hier weer verblijven als ik weer naar Kunming kom! ! ! Bedankt! !"

"Het is supergoed. Toen ik incheckte, gaf de dame mij bloementaarten. De tante bij de zelfbedieningswasserette was ook erg aardig. Ze hielp mij met het inpakken van de kleren na het wassen. "Omgeving: De inrichting in nieuwe Chinese stijl is eenvoudig en elegant, er is een binnenplaats waar je thee kunt drinken, er staan veel planten en het is over het algemeen natuurlijk en comfortabel.
Faciliteiten: De kamer is ongeveer 40 vierkante meter, wat vrij ruim is, met een scheiding tussen droog en nat en een grote wasruimte. De kussens zijn zeer comfortabel.
Hygiëne: De lobby, binnenplaats en slaapkamer zijn allemaal erg schoon en je merkt dat ze erg attent zijn.
Service: Heel erg goed, je kunt elke dag ontbijt voor de volgende dag boeken en het wordt één voor één klaargemaakt. Ik heb twee dagen verschillende smaken rijstnoedels gegeten en ze waren allemaal heerlijk. Het personeel, inclusief de dame bij de receptie en de oom die het huis schoonmaakte, was erg enthousiast en bleef me elke dag herinneren aan de zoete welterustensoep, maar ik heb er niet van gegeten omdat ik te veel had gegeten 😄 Ik verblijf de volgende keer dat ik naar Kunming ga in dit hotel. GGastgebruikerI stayed on the second highest floor in the very last room, away from the elevator. I appreciate the thought of putting me on a higher floor even though I had not asked for it. However, there were constant angry loud banging coming from next door to my room, and also from above my room, which scared me at night. Aside from that, all the staff told me that the hotel is brand new, so there will be a constant smell of chemical plastic coming from the air conditioner when turned on, which resulted in me coughing and becoming ill near the end of my 7-night stay. Everytime I come back to the room, the plastic smell gets so strong that I had to turn off the A/C and open the door for ventilation. Furthermore, the lady manager came to my room one day, asking me about the encounter I had with their night security guard two nights prior. I told her some of which had happened that was unprofessional. This particular security guard had followed me to where I had bought my dinner one night (bbq goose shop next to hotel), and had asked me a couple strange questions, as in why am I in China and that there must be ulterior motives in my visit to China. The way he asked me rubbed me the wrong way as I didn’t know how else to tell him except that I’m in mainland China to sight-see for the very first time. Nothing else. He seemed under the impression that I was in China for more important reasons and I found it really awkward and impolite as I had already told him my reason, to which he disregarded as untrue. Not a fun nor friendly conversation with a guest of the hotel who is also a foreigner. I get that he may be rusty in conversing with strangers but perhaps hotel managers could help him understand more common etiquettes and tact when interacting with hotel guests from not only China but all over the world. Anyway, the lady manager was very upset towards me after hearing what I had to say about this incident and decidedly undermined my words by eyeing me up and down my attire and conveyed a disdain for my presence, which undoubtedly is the worse thing you can do to a hotel guest when confronted by one of the more negative experience shared. She not only disagreed with what I had shared and that I should forgive the night guard as he is older and doesn’t know how to converse with people very well. I said all is fine. I only shared this information as she had gone up to my room to ask me about what had happened with this night guard.
Oh and by the way, on that same night, after I bought my goose dinner and had eaten it, I was followed by the same night guard after throwing my garbage near the elevator on my floor, as he instructed me to do so prior at the goose shop.
So he was literally waiting the whole time for me to come out of my room to throw my garbage! That encounter was so creepy and scary, that I recalled having goosebump when I ran back to my room for safety, all the while him following me from behind…
Overall, the lady manager with her proud, egocentric nature is really unappreciated and unsightly. I am now left with the idea that as a Canadian Chinese, I will be treated as such while staying at mainland China hotels. This entire hotel experience left me with feelings of outcasted, prejudiced and treated less than what a normal hotel guest should be treated.

OOzb00mEen echte aanrader voor een kort verblijf in de buurt van de luchthaven van Kunming. Voor de prijs die ik betaalde, is de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding erg goed. De locatie is fantastisch, met veel hotels in de buurt en dus ook veel winkels en restaurants om uit te kiezen. Hoewel de lobby en het tapijt in de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes wat verouderd zijn, was mijn kamer brandschoon, modern en comfortabel. De kamer is ruim, heeft een mooi uitzicht, de badkamer is ook groot en de waterdruk is uitstekend. Het enige minpuntje is dat de lobby niet direct met de auto bereikbaar is; je moet een paar treden naar beneden. Maar dat is een klein ongemak gezien de goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

CCaroline AletheaWe hebben genoten van een heerlijk verblijf van drie nachten in uw hotel. Het hotel nam proactief contact met ons op de dag voor onze aankomst om onze geschatte aankomsttijd te bevestigen en vroeg om een telefoontje zodra we aankwamen. Bij aankomst hielpen twee personeelsleden ons vriendelijk met onze bagage, omdat ons voertuig het hotel niet rechtstreeks kon bereiken. We werden snel begroet met versnaperingen en efficiënt ingecheckt. Het personeel was altijd vriendelijk, attent en leverde uitzonderlijke service, waarbij ze verder gingen dan verwacht om ons comfort te garanderen. Onze kamer was ruim en de bedden waren buitengewoon comfortabel. De gunstige ligging van het hotel bood gemakkelijke toegang tot eet- en winkelvoorzieningen, het was gemakkelijk om Didi te bereiken. We raden dit hotel ten zeerste aan iedereen die Kunming bezoekt. Bedankt voor het zo aangenaam en onvergetelijk maken van ons verblijf!

CCarolynclkI seldom write reviews after a stay, but Hampton is the biggest exception! I recall walking into the reception and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There was a counter where snacks and drinks were free to enjoy while waiting to check in, which was nice for my parents and my kids to settle down after a long flight. Moreover, the room was neat and tidy, where pillows were soft and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was one of our favourite sessions of the day, there were so many delicious options to choose from, both western and Chinese food are equally scrumptious. We were supposed to pay for our kids’ breakfast, but the management was so kind to let them have it for free for the whole stay! Additionally, the housekeepers really did a great job. They were so nice to bring us extra free bottles of water every day, as well as new towels and the room was always kept neat and fresh. KKatie_catsThis is a unique hotel that offers healing therapy classes that comes along with the accommodation package. I’ve attended the sound bath therapy class at 1pm and felt somewhat relax after the session. Throughout the day, we had a lot of rest in our room and can hear singing bowl music from outside in the late evening til night.
For maximum relaxation, I booked a room that provides aroma diffuser and essential oil to promote good sleep. Room has Xiao Du AI to help with curtains opening/closing, weather forecast, news, alarm setting and music playing! Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy watching shows on projector screen as the projector seems to be faulty. We initially thought its just dead battery in remote control but after changing to new battery provided by the hotel staff, the ceiling projector still fails to turn on. We gave up troubling the staff and rest instead since our flight is late midnight.
Breakfast is wide spread and offers both western and local food option. I like their porridge and it’s a good change from having daily Mi Xian from other hotels. They also offer special jujube type of fruits that I’ve never tasted before.
In addition, they also offer afternoon tea buffet starting from 2pm which you can help yourself if you are still staying in the hotel during the afternoon.
The only alarming thing is, we left the hotel with “Do not disturb” red light on + hang “do not disturb” tag on the door, but was shocked to see our room was tidied when we came back in the evening. China hotels do not seem to have safety box option as basic amenities, so we prefer not to get our room tidied but thankfully nothing valuable was lost. We didn’t tell the hotel since nothing was lost and our stay was short anyways.
Overall, the staff service attitude is friendly and good but I hope they can respect customer’s privacy. If customer do not wish the room to be cleaned, please do not enter the room.

MMeiqiandehaopengyouDit hotel kiezen was echt een schot in de roos! Ik heb elke dag een fantastische ervaring gehad. Het hotelpersoneel is ontzettend gastvrij en biedt uitstekende service. Ze reageerden snel en attent op al mijn vragen en kleine verzoeken. Ze bieden zelfs gratis snacks aan 's avonds laat! De wasruimte is ook gratis te gebruiken, wat erg handig is voor langere verblijven. Bovendien is de locatie geweldig – midden in het stadscentrum met talloze winkelcentra, waardoor winkelen, uit eten gaan en je verplaatsen ontzettend gemakkelijk is. Ik heb dit hotel al aan al mijn vrienden aanbevolen; het is mijn eerste keus voor de volgende keer!

Reception Chaos and The Window Saga
Check-in was rushed and incomplete—no luggage assistance, no WeChat information, no translation tools. The real problems began when I reported my window wouldn't close. With one receptionist managing everything, guests competed for attention in survival-of-the-rudest fashion. She'd abandon helping me whenever someone else interrupted, forcing me to wait while she handled whoever was most insistent.
Hours of frustration followed. The maintenance worker actually said it ”wasn't really a problem” since ”most windows are like that in the hotel”—an alarming admission. After being dismissed and deprioritized repeatedly, I finally got another room. This one had a working window but noisy neighbors and poor soundproofing that broadcast every car horn.
They sent an apology fruit platter—genuinely the best I've received in China, beautifully arranged. But fruit platters require far less investment than proper staff training, adequate staffing, or basic maintenance.
The Bright Spots: Room and Breakfast
The stylish room with warm atmosphere and spacious layout was genuinely nice, though the window view wasn't appealing. The bed was acceptable.
The breakfast team was easily the best part of this hotel—truly professional unlike virtually everyone else. Day one featured fantastic food, skilled preparation, and competent service that stood in stark contrast to other departments. Even when choices declined on days two and three (less refilling, fewer Western options), the cooking team remained the most professional staff I encountered. They also shut down before 1:30 PM despite posted hours.
Housekeeping Failures
During housekeeping, I left my robe and towels out to be changed—they were clearly used and wet, obviously needing replacement. They didn't change them—they folded them and left them. I had to ask them to replace items like shower gel, basically had to tell them everything. They also moved my pile of dirty clothes for some reason and mixed it with clean clothes, putting everything on a chair. Maybe these staff should respect personal space and belongings? One housekeeping staff member in the morning delivered mineral water but was impatient and unfriendly.
Infrastructure Issues
This aging property needs renovation. The hotel is pretty old—windows not closing, minor things not working or getting detached from walls. Water temperature in the shower fluctuated wildly, giving you burning water on your face when you don't expect it. Shower pressure from the handle was pretty good, but not sure what the top running shower is for—low pressure, useless. Elevators were very slow. I ordered coffee—it was delivered to reception but they didn't call or message me and didn't use the robot to deliver to my room. I went downstairs at some point and took it. No explanation, no apology.
Final Verdict
Two genuine strengths: stylish rooms and a professional breakfast team that understood hospitality. This only highlighted how dysfunctional everything else was. The chaotic reception, incompetent housekeeping, dangerous infrastructure, and absent service standards make this hard to recommend—despite nice rooms and excellent breakfast staff.
Would I return? No. Would I recommend? Only if everywhere else was fully booked.

Bij het inchecken was de dame bij de receptie erg enthousiast en voegde WeChat toe. Als u vragen heeft, kunt u altijd contact met ons opnemen. De service van het hotel is zeer attent. Het hotel beschikt over een robot die afhaalmaaltijden kan bezorgen in de wasruimte op de bovenverdieping, en het hotel heeft ook een eigen droger. Het hotel is ook erg schoon, de algehele inrichting is smaakvol en het ontbijt is uitgebreid en heerlijk. Ik beveel dit hotel aan iedereen aan.

GGastgebruikerDit is mijn t****e keer hier. Het is de eerste keuze voor zakenreizen naar Kunming. Zowel de service als de hygiëne voldoen aan mijn verwachtingen. Ik kijk ernaar uit dat het hotel steeds beter wordt. Ik heb ook een plek om te verblijven als ik in Kunming ben. De obers zijn zeer ruimdenkend, staan open voor meningen en luisteren geduldig naar de wensen van gasten. Ze zijn erg attent. De omgeving in het hotel is ook goed, de vloer is stil, het uitzicht is ook erg goed, en er zijn wasfaciliteiten, fitnessruimtes en andere faciliteiten om te voldoen aan de behoeften van zowel langdurige zakenreizen als toeristen.
