3-Starhotels in Kagoshima

Good stay, with clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast has more of western style, less of Japanese food, but the view of Sakurajima can be seen from restaurant. However in the morning, you may be eating under the sunshine, so better to go for breakfast either very early or much later, not when 8 plus as the sun is strong and you may be given a window seat for solo traveller and when the restaurant is packed.

The hotel is about 5-10 mins from Kagoshima station. The room is equipped with well facilities and is located in the shopping area.

Ik kwam voor mijn werk naar Kagoshima en verbleef in dit hotel. Eigenlijk had ik een kaartje gekocht naar station Kagoshima Chuo, maar ik stapte uit bij het volgende station, station Kagoshima, en het hotel lag op loopafstand daarvan. Ik kwam er aan terwijl ik aan het wandelen was en naar de trams keek. 's Avonds, na gegeten en gedronken te hebben in de beroemde uitgaanswijk Tenmonkan, voelde ik mij goed en nam een ​​taxi terug naar het hotel. Zelfs als ik bij een supermarkt was gestopt, zou het waarschijnlijk ongeveer 1.200 yen hebben gekost. Dat komt heel dichtbij. De kamers hier zijn slechts 13 vierkante meter groot. Ik dacht dat ze misschien klein zouden zijn, maar hoewel ze compact waren, waren ze goed uitgerust en zeer comfortabel. De engheid stoorde mij niet. Het bed was daarentegen een ruim half-tweepersoonsbed. Ik kwam voor mijn werk naar Kagoshima, dus ik gebruikte het bureau en de stoel. Dat was dus het enige nadeel. Zoals u op de foto kunt zien, had de stoel geen rugleuning en zat dus niet erg comfortabel. De kamer was compact en de prijs laag. Ik besefte dat als ik echt achter een bureau wilde werken en daarbij een stoel met rugleuning wilde gebruiken, ik een grotere kamer nodig zou hebben. Maar deze reis was ik zeer tevreden over de kamer. 

Toen ik de reservering maakte, las ik de positieve recensies van Ctrip. Ik had niet verwacht dat het beter zou zijn dan verwacht, dus ik moet dit hotel ondanks mijn drukke schema een goede beoordeling geven👍👍👍De kamer is erg schoon, de dikte van de kamer. de quilt is precies goed en zeer comfortabel👍👍👍De kussens zijn heel bijzonder, ontworpen met verschillende zachte en harde zijden aan de voor- en achterkant, gasten kunnen kiezen om te gebruiken op basis van hun voorkeuren👍👍👍Het ontbijt is bijzonder rijk, Kagoshima de lokale keuken is heerlijk, kippensoeprijst is ook een specialiteit👍👍👍, de hotelmanagementregels zijn streng, ik ben mijn kamerkaart in de kamer vergeten. Binnen begeleidde het personeel je persoonlijk naar de kamer om de deur te openen👍👍👍De locatie is absoluut handig. Het duurt 5 minuten om naar de autovrije winkelstraat ”Penmonkan” te lopen, en 10 minuten om naar het warenhuis ”Yamagataya” te lopen. Kortom, het is een hotel dat u moet kiezen als u Kagoshima bezoekt.

Amazing breakfast , very adorable onsen , excellent location and friendly staff makes this place highly recommended to a tourist looking for comfortable and reasonable price . I spent three nights and I wish I could spend even longer time there due the comfort and convenience of the property . Free facial masks is an extra ❤️

It’s only a 6-minute walk from Kagoshimachuo Station! I stayed in the Tatami Room which can be relatively small for people with big luggages. Like other hostels, the toilets, shower rooms, and common space are shared among the floor. However, I do find the shower area a little small. Many of us wouldn’t enter the shower area if somebody was using the sink because the sink was right in front of one shower cubicle HAHAHA. And yes, there’s only one sink in the common shower area. I would recommend this place if you are doing a short stay in Kagoshima because there’s lots of shops and restaurants around the area! By the way, it’s located along the same lane as the famous “tonkatsu kawakyu とんかつ川久”. Please try it because it’s the best tonkatsu I’ve ever eaten!

The location is superb, room was clean, spacious and with a nice balcony. The room provided all you need on a leisure trip. The only downside was it was super complicated and time consuming to contact the hostel for entrance pin, check-in procedure and check-in number. We asked the front desk receptionist of our previous hotel to call the hostel number stated on trip.com booking confirmation email in morning, but no one picked up; called again at 3pm, and the hostel hotline said the number was wrong and referred us to call another number. If we did not have the assistance from a Japanese local receptionist from another hotel, I dont think we could get the entrance pin and check-in procedure information smoothly. I recommend this hostel to Japanese local, or tourists with a Japanese mobile number to make calls/able to find assistance from Japanese local people.

Fantastic place. Very practical for a solo user. Just what you need for sleep and be clean. Super location as well and friendly staff.

A classic Showa-era business class hotel with a beautiful lobby. Features and amenities were standard for this class. The room was quiet and with careful management of the window curtains and heat pump comfortable enough on winter nights. Wifi/Internet was fast. There was a noticable odor behind the toilet where it's hard to clean, and though it was hard to see while standing, sitting in the bath revealed a ring of mildew on a seam of waterproof wall around the tub, which was no big deal but a surprise in an otherwise clean room. I'd probably stay again because the price on my package deal was competitive, but was disappointed to find that the late check-out service was not available for the stated fee (or any fee); I may not have communicated my request correctly to the night front desk clerk the evening before check-out morning (night three of three), the first such denial received at a Japanese business class hotel, and so you should probably inquire at check-in if you think you might require this so that there are no surprises.

Nice kitchen. Also washing machine and dryer.. Have to take a bus from Kagoshimachuo station and then walk 10 mins to the hostel. However, it's 10 mind walk to the main shopping area and restaurants.
