This place is truly a little corner of paradise. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay and how special this place is. The owners — an Englishman and a Filipina — are the perfect mix of warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. They genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and are happy to accommodate almost any request, always in such a natural and unobtrusive way. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The air conditioning is quiet, the mattresses and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and everything you might need is provided — right down to shower gel and a toothbrush. The hotel is still relatively new and everything is in excellent condition. There are free SUP boards for guests, and you can also rent a scooter from the hotel if you feel like exploring El Nido for the day. And then there’s the food… that deserves a review of its own! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. You can order fresh seafood, or even buy it yourself and have the team prepare it for you. My husband loves grilling, so we arranged to get some meat and had our own little BBQ evening. One of the staff members was genuinely excited to help and learn how it’s done — such a small moment, but incredibly warm and touching. My husband also wanted to go fishing, and the local fishermen were happy to take him along. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough time during our stay, but knowing that such experiences were so easily arranged made the place feel even more special. That’s the beauty of a small boutique hotel like this. Unlike huge resorts, they can actually respond to the individual wishes of their guests and make you feel personally cared for. At the same time, there is absolutely no pressure to socialize. Everything is beautifully balanced: if you want to chat, there’s always someone happy to talk to; if you want privacy, you’ll have complete peace and seclusion. It truly feels like your own little paradise. If we ever return to El Nido, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners and the whole team for such a memorable stay. I went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out. The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt. There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options. The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off. I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time. Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned.

Нам не повезло с номером, окна выходили прямо на дорогу, движение по которой почти не прекращалось, было очень очень шумно и сильный запах бензина. С закрытыми окнами все равно было слышно проезжающие машины и трициклы. Плюс еще шел ремонт, от которого тоже было шумно. В итоге возвращаться в отель совсем не хотелось. Завтрак был вкусный, в ресторане при отеле, дают скидку 25%, но только на завтрак. Перед нашим заездом в номере распылили какой то ароматизатор с резким запахом, полотенца и постельное белье тоже были с резким запахом, что вызвало у меня аллергическую реакцию на коже. Дизайн отеля интересный, из общих зон есть вид на море.

The location is great, offering a beautiful view and easy access to the town and all necessary amenities. However, there are some issues with the room: it is quite small, and the mountain view is actually just a view of the rocks. Additionally, the TV isn't working, likely due to a lack of satellite signal, but the Wi-Fi is good.

We stayed for five nights, booking one double room and one family room. Both rooms were sufficiently furnished, and there were tables outside that we made good use of during the day. We were also offered the use of a fridge in the common area, which we really appreciated. From what I understand, only the family rooms come with water heating. The location is very good—tucked away in a safe, lively neighbourhood and within walking distance of both NCCC Mall and SM City Puerto Princesa Mall, where there are supermarkets and plenty of food options. We were also able to walk to several places of interest in the city, including the Boardwalk, Chinatown, the Heritage Centre, and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. There’s a laundry just across the road that charges reasonable rates. The hosts were the best part of the stay. They were family-oriented, warm, hospitable, accommodating, and very communicative. They helped organise tours at prices better than those offered on online platforms. We had a whale of a time at Honda Bay and the Underground River—both are must-experience attractions when visiting Palawan. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a welcoming place, great hosts, and a convenient location.

Gestopt voor 3 nachten. Goede locatie. Ja kroon wandelde. Je kunt naar tuck-tuck voor 50 peso. Schoon gebied, veel bloemen goed zwembad, op hetzelfde moment geen insecten. Zelfs in de avond. We hadden een groot huis geen groot. Very big bathroom. Er zijn roeien om de badkamer en handdoek te drogen. Het bed is schoon leder schoon. Waarschijnlijk een kleine kopje ontbreekt. Geen koelkast. De airconditioner werkt goed. Naast het huis een tafel van stoelen en een hammock waar je kunt zitten in de avond. Het hotel kan alle excursies niet veel duurder bestellen dan de stad. Het hotel aan het einde van de stad is zeer succesvol, en de stad is dichter en rustiger, en je kunt een auto nemen met levering naar het hotel dan moet ik in de verkeersslaap. Het restaurant is duur. Er is een restauranttuin vlakbij 100 meter, bijna iedereen van het hotel was daar te eten. Er is iets als een ronddock. De tuin is ver van de weg, dat wil zeggen, stof vliegt niet. De zinger in de tuin in de tuin - zingen tvk die zelfs in het hotel werd gehoord. Voor middernacht zingen de zingende, om 5 uur begint de pop te zingen. Soms is een groot huis onvoldoende gelegen vlak naast de kip. In het algemeen was het leuk om na de tour terug te komen om in een schoon zwembad, zit in een hamster omringd door bloemen en bomen.

De locatie van de Casa is net iets verderop, aan de hoofdweg van Coron, waar je met een driewieler overal in Coron Town naartoe kunt. Het ligt ook vlakbij de St. Agustin-kerk en BPI, Andoks, Pacifico, Maria L's Cake House en Café. De Casa ligt praktisch en praktisch dicht bij populaire plekken. Je hoeft alleen maar naar de hoofdweg van Coron te lopen, een driewieler te pakken en de chauffeur te vertellen waar je naartoe wilt. De kamer waar ik verbleef was prima om in te slapen, de airconditioning werkte. Ik zette de airco uit als de kamer koel genoeg was en zette vervolgens de elektrische ventilator aan. Je kunt hun keuken gebruiken, die ik pas laat ontdekte, maar die is prima omdat ik altijd op pad ben. Ik wou alleen dat de beheerder me alvast zou uitleggen wat ik kan gebruiken. Ik heb telefonisch contact gehad met de eigenaar. Hij is niet in de Casa aanwezig, maar heeft me toch geholpen met het ophalen van en naar de luchthaven en de Casa. Er is geen personeel om je volledig te helpen, aangezien dit geen hotel is, maar meer een huis waar je een kamer huurt om te slapen en te baden. Je kunt echter wel mensen die hier verbleven, waarschijnlijk de beheerder van het huis, om hulp vragen. De locatie was nog niet bij iedereen bekend, want tijdens mijn verblijf hier en toen ik een tour had geboekt, kon de bus de Casa niet vinden. Waarschijnlijk is er geen zichtbaar bord dat de chauffeur of gids kon zien. Er staat wel een bord buiten de poort, maar dat had beter zichtbaar moeten zijn en opnieuw geschilderd moeten worden, zodat iedereen weet wat deze plek is en waar deze zich bevindt. De locatie is niet zichtbaar in Google Maps, omdat deze nog niet is bijgewerkt naar de recente weergave. Zelfs als je virtueel door de straten rijdt, is het gebied waar deze locatie zich bevindt, niet toegankelijk op de kaart. Tot nu toe een goede plek om te ontspannen na een lange dag vol touractiviteiten en waarschijnlijk een van de goedkoopste.

Review for Ginto Residence in El Nido – 4/5 Stars Ginto Residence is a fantastic place to stay in El Nido if you’re looking for a central location. This small property with only four rooms feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, which adds to its charm. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and communication is easy via WhatsApp. The amenities are thoughtful – free water, hot coffee, and tea are always available. The rooms are freshly renovated and very clean. The location is exceptional, right in the heart of Corong-Corong, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you’re in an upper-floor room, the balcony provides a great view of the street below – but keep in mind, you’ll also hear the street noise quite clearly. This makes it ideal for guests who want to be in the middle of the action, but perhaps not for those seeking peace and quiet. Breakfast is served in a local Filipino restaurant nearby and features delicious, authentic Filipino cuisine. The internet connection is excellent and very stable, which was a huge plus. One suggestion for improvement would be to add a refrigerator in the rooms, as this would be very convenient for guests. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a great option for its location, friendly service, and modern amenities. Four stars!

Kleine kamers, pal naast een straat vol feestgangers. De grootte, de service en zelfs de locatie waren het geld eerlijk gezegd niet waard. Maar op dat moment waren er geen andere opties, geen keuze. Alle havens waren gesloten en de hotels zaten vol, dus er was nergens anders heen te gaan. We bleven er één nacht.

La habitación se ve que es muy antigua, los colchones son de espuma, los enchufes generan poca confianza, la verdad por lo poco que se paga se podría decir que está normal, no esperes mucho. El baño es otro mundo, la taza del baño no tiene la base para sentarse, por lo que es muy poco higiénico a la hora de usarlo, o eso o orinar y hacer tus necesidades sin tocar la taza. La ducha no tiene mucha presión, por lo que si vas a ducharte es mejor que uses la llave que está debajo de la ducha y llenes un balde y te bañes con el balde de agua. La puerta del baño de las mujeres está rota por debajo, por lo que puede causar un poco de inseguridad, aunque la verdad no creo que a la gente le importe mucho.
