2-Starhotels in Tokyo

Ik dacht dat ik alleen reisde, maar het blijkt dat 80% van de vrouwen die hier verblijven, een soloreis maken. De faciliteiten zijn goed uitgerust en schoon. Omdat het een hotel alleen voor vrouwen is, is alles roze en bestaat het personeel volledig uit vrouwen. Het is er rustig en ik was tevreden over alles. Mijn kamer was comfortabeler dan ik had verwacht; het was niet te krap, dus ik kon goed slapen. Haha. Het bovenste bed is echter lastig om in en uit te stappen, dus ik raad aan om, indien mogelijk, het onderste bed te gebruiken. Ik zou zeker nog eens terugkomen.

Ik geef toe dat de omgeving erg goed is. In principe is de omgeving van Japanse hotels erg goed. Dit capsulehotel heeft echter te veel regels. Je moet je schoenen uitdoen als je het hotel binnengaat voor twee dagen heb je een reispas nodig om 's nachts uit te gaan. De kluisjes voor bagage zijn extreem klein. De meeste bewoners zijn Japans. Het is erg lastig als je de taal niet verstaat. Er zijn veel regels tegen jou en het kost me te veel tijd elke keer als ik uitga. Als dit je eerste keer is, raad ik je aan niet in dit hotel in Japan te verblijven. De Japanners zijn erg vriendelijk en bereid om mij te helpen als ik problemen tegenkom. Dit is erg goed en kan in China niet worden ervaren.

I recently stayed at Ueno Station Hostel Oriental I in Tokyo, and overall it was a very satisfying experience, especially for a solo traveler looking for convenience and value. The biggest advantage of this hostel is definitely its location. It is only about a 3–5 minute walk from Ueno Station, which makes it extremely convenient for getting around Tokyo. With access to JR lines, the Tokyo Metro, and the Keisei Line to Narita Airport, transportation was simple and stress-free. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and the popular Ameyoko shopping street nearby. The hostel itself is a capsule-style accommodation for men only. The capsule was compact, as expected in Japan, but clean and well-maintained. Each bed came with its own light, power outlet, and curtain for privacy. While you can occasionally hear other guests moving around, it was generally quiet enough to rest comfortably after a long day of exploring the city. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. One of the highlights of staying here is the public bath. After walking around Tokyo all day, soaking in the hot bath was incredibly relaxing. The bathing area and restrooms were clean and well organized, and basic amenities were provided. There is also a lounge area, lockers for luggage, vending machines, and coin-operated laundry facilities, which make the stay more convenient. For the price and location, Ueno Station Hostel Oriental I offers excellent value. It may not be luxurious, but it is practical, clean, and perfectly suited for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize accessibility and comfort. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

The room was so big and clean !everything was good the downside is you need to rent a towel for 100yen .because i dont want to go back again at another building which is the reception is there i use a face towel instead.me and friends stay there but if i will have a chance again i would like to comeback .by the way they have a toast ,soup and coffee for free .

De locatie is geweldig, de kamer is schoon en de verwarming werkt goed! Ik was bang dat ik rugpijn zou krijgen omdat ik op een deken op de grond moest slapen, maar de deken was dik en dat was wel fijn. Het personeel was ontzettend aardig en omdat ze Koreaans waren, verliep de communicatie erg soepel! Er zijn veel supermarkten, Don Quijote en restaurants in de buurt. Netflix is ​​ook beschikbaar! Location in reasonable distance from Shinkuju station and close to Shinkuju Sanchome. Service was very helpful and English was very communicative. The only one issue was that they requested 500 yen for calling a taxi. Clean rooms and corridors. 1AM-6AM hotel is closed. Positive opinion for solo travelers spending time outside and using hotel mainly for sleeping and washing.

I wrote a longer review of this place that covers the basics. After I ended a business trip I decided to stay on in Tokyo so just rebooked at this spot on the app. It seems like the staff here run bookings mostly with a hand written ledger --- when I mentioned to them I was staying longer they just made a note of it and then left me a message when it was confirmed, very chill. Overall the staff at this place were pretty great. I was there for two weeks and in the time I was there I saw maybe like ten different people working there. As an English speaker, sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was never really a problem, and there is clear signage about all of the most important policies all over the place in English, Korean, and Chinese. It was always a friendly experience, most of the ppl working there were older with a kind of caring auntie vibe, so that was fun. At one point I asked to move bunks because a guy on my floor was super sick, and they arranged it with no hassle or fuss, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place for the staff.

Nice guest house located in front of the west exit of the local station. 50 minutes direct to Shibuya and 7/11 and store within 5 minutes. Food and Restaurant 5 min away and the guest house is ran well by the staff who are friendly. My stay was great.

I had flight early in the morning, at 3am. Therefore I needed a cheaper place from evening till midnight, closer to the airport. I chose this because of the price and also because of my flight timings. This is a self check in, self check out type of facility. Most of the process takes place online only, with no human interactions. It is reasonably clean and convenient for solo travelers. There was only one more person, therefore it was quiet and suited my needs well. I checked in around 4pm and checked out around 11:30pm night without spending the whole night there. However, the email messages and also the printed messages there carry the tone ”If you do this, we will fine so much”, an American style of approach than Japanese - having disclaimers or warnings for almost everything. It was not a pleasant feeling to see this type of approach, but understandable since it was being managed mostly online, with no frills approach. Some of the reviews mentioned that the shower room is dirty and needs cleaning. I observed that this is indeed true. I took photos of the shower rooms and communicated with this company on email about the online reviews, my observations and the need to do some maintenance. I received a reply from stating that this issue will be looked into. Overall, this is a suitable place for solo travelers who are looking for a cheaper place closer to the airport.

생각보다 컨디션도 좋고 아사쿠사 가기도 편하고 지하철도 도보 5분 안 쪽으로 갈 수 있어요. 주변에도 맛집도 많고 편의점도 로손, 패밀리마트, 세븐일레븐이 5분 안으로 주변에 있습니다. 일단 개인욕실은 방 안에 있진 않습니다. 밖에 있습니다. 2층을 사용했고 201호 202호 였습니다. 방 2개면 밖에 화장실 두개 욕실이 2개로 그걸 호실 전용으로 쓰는 겁니다. 사진이 없어서 욕실 사진만 올리겠습니다. 각 따로따로 되어있어서 좋았습니다. 단점은 딱히 없는데 주인아주머니가 약간 깐깐 정도 불 친절하진 않았습니다. 그래도 잘 묵었습니다. 3박4일동안 그리고 한가지 12시가 지나면 문이 잠겨요!!! 이 점 참고하세요! 다들 즐거운 일본여행 하세오😆
