2-Starhotels in Macau

We waren in Macau en koos dit hotel. Uitstekende service, ontbijtkupongen, schoonheid, en een super kamerdat is wat je hier zult vinden. Mijn vriend en ik waren blij met de locatie en service! De receptielieden waren zeer aardig en handig. Dank u. Ik heb ook over u verteld in mijn blog en mijn vrienden zeiden dat ze ook u zullen bezoeken! 🤍

De locatie is handig, aan Xinma Road, dicht bij het busstation, en er is een 24-uurssupermarkt beneden. De tegenovergestelde richting oversteken is Fulong New Street. Het is erg handig om naar Sanyuan Porridge te gaan om gehaktbalpap te eten. Er is personeel bij de receptie dat erg snel is, dus het check-in proces is erg snel, en zelfs als ze druk bezig is met het inchecken voor andere gasten, zal ze snel en beleefd antwoorden als iemand vragen heeft, in tegenstelling tot sommige obers die zijn onredelijk. Aandacht besteden aan de gast of met spijt antwoorden is zeer prijzenswaardig. Het is jammer dat ik vergat naar haar naam te kijken en haar niet bij naam kon prijzen! Ik heb vele malen in dit hotel verbleven en de netheid is niet zo goed als toen het voor het eerst werd geopend. Gelukkig is het matras deze keer normaal! Er is een kleine koelkast in de kamer, maar die ruikt naar durian. Ik weet niet of de gast zo onhandelbaar was en de geur lang in de koelkast bleef hangen. er was een grote geur! Ik hoop dat die mensen ophouden zo egoïstisch te zijn! Wat ik het leukste vind is dat de ramen in de kamers hier open kunnen, waardoor er frisse lucht naar binnen kan stromen. Bovendien is het koel weer en hoef je de airco niet aan te zetten. Het is comfortabeler om de airco open te zetten ramen! (Er hangen lichten aan de andere kant, zo mooi) Uitchecken om 12 uur, superpositief! Dit is ook een belangrijke reden waarom ik wil blijven.

Verrassend veel mooier dan de foto's je doen geloven. De badkamer is brandschoon en in plaats van een douchegordijn krijg je glazen deuren. De slaapkamer is klein, maar het is een schoon, comfortabel bed en een tafel met een stoel, dat is alles wat je echt nodig hebt na een lange dag de stad verkennen. De mensen bij de receptie zijn vriendelijk, er is gratis water, een leuk café en een supermarkt beneden, een geldwisselaar de straat verderop en een schilderachtig klein park ervoor. Onverslaanbare locatie, zeker - op loopafstand van alles wat interessant is. Het beste hotel voor je geld in Macau. Houd er rekening mee dat het op de derde verdieping ligt zonder lift, maar het is een korte trap. Hieronder zie je het park naast het hotel.

Its located close to very large traditional market in Macau. The rooms are meticulously clean and well maintained. The ladies or the owner at the lobby are exceptionally kind for Macau standards

Small, but perfectly laid out rooms, and exactly like the pictures, so no surprises. I was travelling solo, and only in the room to rest; with space for one suitcase under the bed, it was absolutely fine, but a larger couple might struggle, as unless one was sat completely on the bed, you would be in each others way getting ready. An easy walk to the metro, and old town. Bus stops almost directly outside; a small 7/11, and larger supermarket within a block; a good variety of local places to eat within two blocks; and lots more options, within a short walk. While there was no breakfast (exactly as advertised), there was a basement room, with a large shared fridge (write your room number and date on the carrier bag), water filter (hot & cold), microwave and tables & chairs, so if you wanted to get breakfast from the local bakery, or takeaway for dinner, you don’t have to sit in your room and eat it. The road outside is busy enough during the day, that I was aware of traffic noise when I woke up, however my room was on that side of the building. For me it was fine, I had, but didn’t need my earplugs, however a lighter sleeper, wanting to sleep in, might find it a little noisy. At night it was fine. I didn’t have a lot of interaction with the staff, but found them helpful and efficient at checkin, checkout and when I returned later that day to collect my luggage. I stayed 3 nights for 141.65 GBP (Jan-26), and at that price, in this location, I’d book again.

Location is great if you’re planning to visit popular tourist spots. Cleanliness was well maintained too — the toilet was spotless. However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. ========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ========== The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job. If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics. Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.” Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?! I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive. ================================================================================ Facilities: The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room.

Dit is de t****e keer dat ik hier in Macau verblijf. De kamer is erg ruim vergeleken met andere hotels en de prijs is betaalbaar. Deze keer, ondanks de tyfoon, bood het hotel nog steeds eten aan op de t****e verdieping. De kamerfaciliteiten zijn erg goed en erg rustig. Het ligt vlakbij de ruïnes van St. Paul's en er is een bushalte in de buurt, waardoor je overal gemakkelijk naartoe kunt.

We stayed for two nights. We did know that they only provide disposal towels so we brought our own. What we did not expect was disposable bed sheets (pic). It was very uncomfortable feeling on the skin, made me sweat like crazy probably because of the plastic like fabric. It also ripped during the first night, I expected it to get exchanged when they bring new water (it’s very common to get two water bottles per night) but it didn’t. So we were left with the ripped disposable sheets and the actual blanket came through. That made me think how often that must have happened before: the people start to sweat (macau is warm and kinda humid) into the actual blanket which is probably never cleaned because of the disposable sheets. Next guests the same thing happens, so basically everyone is sleeping under the same blanket. Doesn’t seem very hygienic to me. Also the bed was very hard (even for Asian standards). My partner and I are both under 25 and had back pain the next morning. The whole hotel and also the room was very humid, smelled like cigarettes/cigar and you can’t open any windows, not even partially. Otherwise it does look like the pictures and the rest of the room/bath was clean except for the smell and probably the bed. Also the location is very convenient. If I wanted to visit macau again I would probably get a hotel in Zhuhai (mainland china) which is less expensive and locals told us there is a 24h border control and the whole process only takes about 10min.

Great place to stay. Room is very good. Staff are very friendly and helpfull, Near the city center, restaurants and coffee shops. I will stay here again for sure.
