"We had a wonderful stay at Grande Hotel Macao. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The location is very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. Overlall, the service, facilities, and overall were truly satisfying. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Macau. We would definitely stay here again."

"Dit hotel is best aardig. Ik zou hier zeker weer verblijven, maar er zijn een hoop verborgen hotels om de hoek die ik niet op Trip.com heb gevonden. Alles is goed, de receptie is altijd bereid je te helpen en hij is begripvol. Als je hem iets van tevoren vertelt, is het 😊 een fijne tijd."

"Caravel Hotel ligt dicht bij bezienswaardigheden, zoals de ruïnes van St. Paul en het Senado-plein, op loopafstand van het hotel. Handig en omgeven door eten en alle Cha Chan Teng. Het ligt net naast de beroemde old school cha chan teng 南屏雅敘 Café Nam Ping, waar beroemde ijsmelkthee en suikereibladerdeeg wordt verkocht (het lijkt op onze lokale donuts uit Singapore). We hebben een hoekkamer die erg groot is en een kleine inloopkast (te klein om eigenlijk in elke kleding te passen) een mooie bijkeukenhoek met mokken met bloemmotief. Toilet heeft ook een klein bad. Comfortabel verblijf en vriendelijke ontvangst. Enige nadeel is dat het erg moeilijk is om tijdens de spitsuren een taxi te krijgen, zelfs de receptie kan je niet helpen."

"This hotel IS ACTUALLY VERY GOOD! Spotless with very strategic locations. But if you’re non smokers and allergic to cigarettes smoke, DON’T EVER THINK ABOUT staying here. It’s a small hotel and the rooms are quite small with narrow hallways. That’s not an issue but most guests are SMOKING IN THEIR ROOM and the smell is SOO STRONG. I never had a sleep for two nights straight. That’s really UNFAIR. I paid just like any other guests but I couldn’t enjoy my rights for a peaceful comfortable sleep. Not even an hour! Mind you, this is a non-smoking hotel. Signs are everywhere with fines of MOP 1500 for violations. But people are still smoking cuz the policy isn’t really enforced. It’s just formality. I really wanted to check out after one night but unfortunately the booking couldn’t be modified or refunded. So, I had no choice but to suffocate from the smell of cigarettes. However, I have to appreciate the staff hospitality especially the guy whom I reported the issue. He tried to find me a better room but unfortunately none was available. Well at least he tried and he apologized for what happened. This is really commendable. But as a hotel, it could do better by strictly enforcing the policy of non smoking. It shouldn’t be hard to identify the guests who smoke."

"Its located close to very large traditional market in Macau. The rooms are meticulously clean and well maintained. The ladies or the owner at the lobby are exceptionally kind for Macau standards"

"We stayed for two nights. We did know that they only provide disposal towels so we brought our own. What we did not expect was disposable bed sheets (pic). It was very uncomfortable feeling on the skin, made me sweat like crazy probably because of the plastic like fabric. It also ripped during the first night, I expected it to get exchanged when they bring new water (it’s very common to get two water bottles per night) but it didn’t. So we were left with the ripped disposable sheets and the actual blanket came through. That made me think how often that must have happened before: the people start to sweat (macau is warm and kinda humid) into the actual blanket which is probably never cleaned because of the disposable sheets. Next guests the same thing happens, so basically everyone is sleeping under the same blanket. Doesn’t seem very hygienic to me. Also the bed was very hard (even for Asian standards). My partner and I are both under 25 and had back pain the next morning. The whole hotel and also the room was very humid, smelled like cigarettes/cigar and you can’t open any windows, not even partially. Otherwise it does look like the pictures and the rest of the room/bath was clean except for the smell and probably the bed. Also the location is very convenient. If I wanted to visit macau again I would probably get a hotel in Zhuhai (mainland china) which is less expensive and locals told us there is a 24h border control and the whole process only takes about 10min."

"Ik weet niet waarom het zo lang heeft geduurd voordat ik deze kant van Macau echt ontdekte. Ten eerste ligt dit hotel op loopafstand van het Senadoplein/de ruïnes van de Sint-Pauluskerk. Het bevindt zich in een straat waar veel Filipino's wonen. Er zijn twee Filipijnse supermarkten en een Filipijnse afhaalzaak. Het ligt ook vlakbij de hoofdweg met een bushalte voor de route naar de luchthaven. Er zijn diverse winkels in de buurt. Je kunt zelfs naar de terminal lopen waar je de veerboot naar Zhuhai (vasteland China) kunt nemen. Ik zou hier zeker nog eens verblijven. De mensen bij de receptie zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer zelf heeft twee flessen water, toiletartikelen, een waterkoker, een telefoon, een kluisje, kledinghangers, een tv en slippers. Geweldig! Het enige wat ik mis, is een bidet in het toilet. Verder is het perfect!"

"Stayed at Vila Universal for a quick solo trip and honestly, it overdelivered. The room was surprisingly huge for one person, which made it feel more like a small apartment than a budget stay. They set me up in a smoking room as requested, and it was clean, well kept, and didn’t have that stale smell most smoking rooms suffer from. The shower had proper heating, consistent flow, and zero drama. Location is the real flex here. You’re basically a short walk from Senado Square, so going out for food, photos, or a late night wander is effortless. Staff was straightforward, efficient, and didn’t make check in complicated. Overall, it’s practical, comfortable, and extremely convenient for anyone who wants to stay near the historic center without paying a premium. Would stay again."

"We waren in Macau en koos dit hotel. Uitstekende service, ontbijtkupongen, schoonheid, en een super kamerdat is wat je hier zult vinden. Mijn vriend en ik waren blij met de locatie en service! "Voor deze prijs is de kamer erg groot, met drie ramen en complete binnenfaciliteiten. Er zijn vasteland- en Engelse stopcontacten aan het hoofdeinde van het bed voor het opladen van mobiele telefoons, een droog en nat apart bed in de badkamer, complete toiletartikelen, schoon en hygiënisch dekbed en kussensloop, en een comfortabele nachtrust zonder allergieën. Deze locatie ligt zeer dicht bij de ruïnes van St. Paul's, op slechts een paar minuten afstand, en het is erg rustig om 's nachts te slapen. De baas is erg aardig."
