This was a beautiful, very high quality hotel. The furnishings and details were excellent, while being truly local and unique. Some hotels look good in photos but the quality and details not good. This hotel is exactly like in the photos, even better - quality, quality, quality. Great value for the cost. It’s a 15 min walk to the main temple area, but that’s better to enjoy the nature and scenery, and the staff will drive you if you prefer. Plus there are restaurants just a few mins away. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this one!

I spent just one night here, making a side trip from Shangri-La to catch the sunrise over Kawagarbo peak at Meili Snow Mountain. The room was small but comfortable—perfect for one person. The electric blankets kept me warm and toasty in the freezing weather, especially since the room heater (an A/C unit) was quite small and took a while to heat up the space. The location was ideal. It’s only a 5-min. walk to Feilaisi Monastery, which made it easy to reach the Feilai Temple Viewing Platform. The Meili Snow Mountain National Park Scenic Area lookout point is about a 15-min. slow walk away, in a more touristy area where you’ll also find street food and restaurants. Breakfast is served at the small onsite restaurant. I enjoyed a bowl of vermicelli soup and a cup of hot soy milk. You can choose from several noodle options, and there were dumplings on the side as well. When I checked out early in the morning, it was snowing, and visibility was poor. The owner noticed the foggy weather and kindly offered to let me return to my room if I changed my mind about exploring and preferred to rest instead. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and consideration. Overall, I had a good stay here.

出遊住過的酒店沒有一百家也有五十家了，酒店的佈局、風格、設施等基本大同小異，基本已經習慣了。所謂細節之處見真章：1️⃣浴室出口處放了門墊，對比連鎖酒店在浴室門把上掛一個毛巾的方式，在風格上體現出來了差異，帶來了不一樣的體驗，也可以看出店家是一個温馨的人。2️⃣剛進浴室就看到把高噴頭歪到一邊，防止旅客開錯噴頭把頭髮全淋濕（沒錯我前一天剛有這樣的慘痛教訓），説明店家有在為顧客着想。另外，打開電視時發現有VIP確實是意外之喜，在遊玩一天疲勞時能洗完澡安靜躺在床上看影視，這體驗蒸蚌。 建議：吸氧機旁邊可以貼個使用提示，對於很多遊客來説是第一次來到高海拔地區，很容易誤解成吸氧機能自己產生氧氣而一直開着。但實際是歸集屋內氧氣再通過吸氧管集中輸出氧氣。

Just to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain. Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather. The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time. One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

We stayed in Yubeng during a week when access to the village was closed, and we were the only guests at the hotel. It’s located near the trailhead to Ice Lake and not too far from Lower Yubeng and the Sacred Waterfall (the return hike is steep, but anyone coming to this place should be prepared for long and demanding walks!). There was no room service during our stay (like trash collection), but the hosts were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was very tasty and fairly priced — especially considering the logistical challenges of stocking the kitchen. The room is simple but comfortable. The towels are disposable, which is a bit strange at first, but you get used to it (they actually dry you well). The view from the hotel balcony is unbelievable — definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view. We would happily stay there again.

As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk. A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience. Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

Een verblijf bij Youlan Homestay is echt een aanrader! Vanuit je raam heb je uitzicht op de groene bergen en bossen van Yubeng, en je kunt de ochtendmist in de bergen bewonderen. De eigenaar helpt je ook met het plannen van wandelroutes, waardoor een bezoek aan het IJsmeer en de Heilige Waterval heel gemakkelijk is. Na een wandeling kun je bovendien genieten van een warme kop gemberthee.

Ik verbleef vier of vijf dagen in Yubeng en deze herberg beviel mij vooral. De vrouwelijke baas was erg enthousiast en legde ons enkele van onze twijfels en lokale gebruiken uit. Ze zorgde ook goed voor ons. Ze gaf me het gevoel dat ik mijn moeder was. De winkel zorgde voor eten, drinken en gegarandeerde winkels. Er is eten en ontbijt beschikbaar. Het is erg handig om een ​​dagwandeling te boeken. Het belangrijkste is dat de locatie erg goed is. Het ligt tussen Shangyubeng en Yubeng. Het is handig voor elke route. Ik heb bijna elke route gelopen, ook de inbegrepen. De weg naar het dorp is ook toegankelijk. Deze locatie is echt geschikt. Its ok just to sleep, but not cozy after long hikes. Pros: Price. Eletric blanket. Hangers to dry clothes. Toothbrush, shampoo and body soap. Affordable breakfast. Cons: Many flies on the restaurant on 1st floor discouraged me having dinner there. Only squating toilet (and a little bit dirty). Hot water is not enough for everyone. Need to wait to take shower. Very hard mattress.

This room is rather pricy for what it offers. Rather basic room and toilet. There is a humidifier and a small room heater which doesn’t really help in the middle of winter. However to our surprise, the bed is electrically heated and works very well and extremely useful in the wintry cold. Location is not too bad as there are many restaurants nearby and the mountain sunrise viewing deck area is maybe within 200m away. Please checkout the Sichuan restaurant just opposite the hotel which would also be recommended by the hotel staff as the food is affordable and extremely delicious. Speaking of the staff, the staff was not at the front desk at check in however he did respond quickly via WeChat. His attitude is bad as though we owed him a living.
