The reception didn't come across welcoming and friendly to what our experience has been with other motels, especially after travelling from far.
Parking was good and just outside the room. In the back garden there is a good view of the peach and pear tree, and flowers.
Even though the room came with double and single bed, the single bed was not usable as the mattress was very soft and there was a strong stale odour from that area, unsure if of urine.
There is also no air conditioning, so the room can get stuffy.
The hotel is also near a main road, so can be noisy.

Stayed before however it was particularly hot in Christchurch and other relatives actually had aircon in their units which would have been useful. Other than that all acceptable

Why is there no air conditioning ? Yesterday it was 35c and there was no relief from the heat .I am surprised no one on the hotel reviews has every mentioned this major drawback !

Disappointed. Allocated 1 bed accessible unit for a 3 day stay. Bed in main room ok, two single beds in the lounge were temporary beds with one jammed against the window. Cleaning is below par, previous guest's used soap and earbud in the shower caddy and inside of fridge not wiped clean. Location was good not too far from CBD

I stayed for 2 weeks while visiting Christchurch. John and staff were very friendly. Motel was very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay!

Good facilities.
But the bad!
Cleaning hadn't been completed properly, the packet of complimentary biscuits were opened, there was open food left in the fridge, and the rooms were a bit dusty around the edges.
One leg of the queen bed was broken & colapsed when you sat on the corner.

Service and condition was amazing comfy bed nice shower, we rushed out early in the morning to catch flights home and silly me accidentally took the room key i rung the reception and explained what happen and the lovely lady was understanding and advised me where to send key back to i highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be back next time i vist chch
