The Vincent Hotel

The hotel hosted my Son's Make-a-wish party in one of the function rooms and went above and beyond to make sure we had a magical day making precious memories. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. The staff were kind, courteous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and looked after from reception to the staff tending the party. We were kept informed throughout the day by the staff in attendance and they checked regularly if there was anything we needed. They ensured the smooth running of events. Prior to the day the events manager liaised on every aspect of the plans for the party even checking the measurements for my Son's wheelchair to ensure there were no issues with access. The food was fabulous with a good range of choice to cater for all the dietary needs of those in attendance. All of the dishes were labeled so those people knew what was suitable. The room was beautifully decorated and the linen and presentation was immaculate. Some of our guests have limited mobility and found the valet parking really helpful. Our guests contacted us the following day to say what a wonderful experience they had and how amazing the staff, hotel and food were. I would 100% recommend The Vincent Hotel to anyone planning a special occasion in the future.

Stayed one night , very quiet hotel . Clean and the staff were friendly. We didn't have breakfast. The room is spacious and has everything you need . Just a couple of minor gripes . Quite dark in the corridors . The bathroom door shut quite abruptly . Bed was comfortable , we even managed to check in quite early too so that was a bonus . Nice nespresso machine in the room. Had a fridge and safe, but we did not use this. Overall was a nice stay . Would stay again. Good value for money.

Food is OK not what it was years ago, place is very clean. Average at best, very moody staff, very expensive for what it is, don’t like the way they just add the tips to the bill, full of hooray Henry’s and x personality’s, not my sort of place at all.

We booked super last minute (a couple of hours before) when we had been let down by another stay elsewhere. I have eaten at The V cafe many of times before, but never stayed at the hotel. My partner booked this for my birthday, he'd called up beforehand and spoke to a really helpful lady that I presume was the same lady on reception when we arrived and she was really lovely. We booked a deluxe double room which was lovely, spacious & clean. We had a couple of cocktails in the hotel bar and then eat at the restaurant which was highly enjoyable. We also visited Carlton's bar which is a couple of hundred yards away and the Irish bar across the road, both we're absolutely great! Breakfast the next morning was a buffet style, eggs could be made to order. They had everything you could want and was very tasty. Really great stay, no negatives from us and we will definitely be back!

V cafe has been going for years, so us Southporters can recognise that it’s gone right downhill. The sushi is nowhere near what it used to be, the beautiful club sandwich has been replaced by a burnt, hard alternative and TWICE now I’ve been served a still frozen bao bun. The only consistent thing on the menu is the duck spring roll, which is as delicious as ever. After being a loyal regular I now only visit twice a year and usually regret it. Waste of money and calories.

A one night stay in Southport and didn’t really have high expectations. This hotel is really good…..and that was one of the surprises in Southport. Excellent front desk service from Carl and easy valet car parking. Room was great, albeit you have to be a gymnast to get into the shower/bath. Excellent toiletries in rooms. Breakfast was good quailty.

Not our first visit to The Vincent, and it was just as good as we remember, my wife mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and they kindly decorated the bed with rose petals and left a tray of posh chocs, I didn't get a look in ! We had a corner suite, that had a nice little balcony. We used the bar a couple of times, the drinks were really good. Valet parking takes all the stress our of finding somewhere to park in Southport. Looking forward to our next stay.

My husband booked this for my 50th birthday, he was under the impression it had a spa, but it doesn't they basically have a beauty room so was really disappointed. Nice room though, comfy bed, good location The Irish bar across the road is great

This place has been a reliable haven of quality in Southport for many years but tonight’s visit was really poor. Badly printed menus, truculent service, misleading descriptions on the menu & ordinary cooking combined to make it a disappointing evening. The manager was sympathetic & took a bit off the bill but I’d rather pay full whack for a decent, honest meal. Come in Vincent, you can do better!
