The service for food was Ok, food nice too. Room TV was not working and no intercom telephone in the room, making it difficult to reach the customer service when needed. wifi was not too strong as expected, probably due to room position. there was no complimentary drinking water in the room but there was nice complimentary tea in room. there was Ironing board but no Iron in the room, because of NO intercom , reaching customer service for an iron was not possible as my time was running. I could say the position is nice and the worker are friendly

Handy location with lots of parking, very welcoming and friendly hotel. Breakfast great too.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, but some amenities need upgrade.

Lovely little hotel! All you need for a night away. Private bathroom, tea/coffee (with a biscuit!) TV and room service if you need it. Great breakfast and very helpful staff. We requested an early check in due to a wedding, and although they couldn't guarantee it, the hotel did offer to hold our bags if our room wasn't ready. The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable but our only mirror was in the bathroom so difficult to put your face on if he's in the shower 😆

Apart from the friendly staff, this place is absolutely terrible value for money. Paid £150 for 1 night in a double bed room + £20 for early check-in. When we arrived to check-in, there were 3 different parties going on in the various function rooms, all of which were playing music that could be heard loudly from the reception. The ground floor seems nice enough, but the upper floor with all the rooms is in major need of renovation. The decor is seriously outdated, there are a lot of snagging issues, and the en-suite was even worse. The radiators in the room could be adjusted and turned off, but the massive pipe that fed them was exposed, ran the length of the room, and radiated enough heat to make the room uncomfortably hot. The bathroom was mouldy, the shower took ages to get up to temperature and never got warm enough that I would call it comfortable, the shower screen leaked like mad, the bathroom tiles were incredibly slippery (which could be a killer combo with the leaky shower screen), the toilet cistern wobbled so much that I thought it was going to fall off every time I flushed, the hairdryer was pathetic when it worked, and one of our friends reported that theirs kept cutting out. We did pay for breakfast to be included but didn't get up in time for it, but our friends reported that it was good, although no vegetarian or vegan option was available.

MOTHERS DAY LUNCH Our party of 5 dined in the restaurant yesterday for mother’s day, and I just have to say it was appalling. We arrived at 2pm our drinks order wasn’t taking till 2.30 and when it arrived the wine was luke warm, we had to ask to order our food and nobody came near our table, when the starters eventually arrived the breaded mushroom were so overcooked my mother couldn’t eat them and the mussels were dry with a little clumpy sauce Our main course did not arrive till 4.15 by this point it was 2 1/4 hours into our sitting, which is a long time to wait, the steak pie had very few bits of meat, the chicken Milanese was so dry it was not edible, my daughters ice cream arrived and she had to use a straw as it had melted, we had ordered dessert which we had to cancel as they had arrived after 35mins I know special occasions can be busy but this ruined our mother days

Mother’s Day fiasco I was in yesterday for Mother’s Day and to say it was an absolute disgrace is being nice. No one knew what was happening took 40 minutes just to get a drink Then another 30 minutes to take our order starters when tasteless steak pie was vile the lasagne was burnt the Cajun chicken was pasta covered in cream with Cajun seasoning the orders came out wrong you brought us double starters which where still wrong it which most of the food was left on plate I felt sorry for the staff that had to serve it maybe that is why they were so reluctant to ask if we were enjoying it then took another 45 minutes to get dessert which was something thrown on top of melted ice cream We came in at four and thankfully we were given our freedom after a lengthy wait for the bill at 7:30 . Worse Mother’s Day lunch and dinner as it took so long to get served it crossed into both

Visited today with family for Mother’s Day lunch. Unfortunately the experience was diabolical. We arrived at 3 pm and weee squeezed into a table that was t particularly big enough for our party. We ordered and then waited 2 hours for starters that were stone cold. Then another 45 mins for mains that again were not hot. We then waited a further 30 mins for deserts. Staff were inattentive, never asking how our meals were. We had to ask got drinks to be replenished and they didn’t keep us updated on meal times. While I appreciate it’s a busy day I feel they should have accommodated for this with extra staff. Unfortunately what should have been a lovely Mother’s Day lunch was spoiled by this shocking experience.

The staff was very welcoming and the food in the restaurant was delicious again the staff were very friendly. However, the room was very disappointing. There were holes in the door to the bathroom, the bathroom itself was very dated.
